Please feel free to dress casually as we want this to be a comfortable, joyous occasion.

So sorry for your loss last year, I just found out. Joe was such a great person. I went to school with him at Itazuke.
My parents and brother and I were good friends with Father Werr and they paid a visit to us in Colorado Springs when we returned from Japan.. I have a collection of photos and the movie About "The Boy that Walked to America". He meant a lot to my family. Connie Meis-Willett, Topeka, KS

I had the honor of knowing the entire family growing up as a dear friend of mary.
Being around the family as Joe was welcoming many of his family members to the states was a special experience. But not until I read Joe’s autobiography later in life, did I really understand the magnitude of what I experienced as a middle and high schooler!
Joe is again reunited with his parents and family, and many he has never come to know...
In heaven.
He will be missed. His was a kind gentle soul!

Joe was an incredible man that had an extraordinary childhood and a difficult journey Making his way to America. His determination eventually got him here and shows how strong of character he had. His life story is inspiring and reminds us all that we all have to fight to get ahead in life. Joe did just that and along the way found Norma, and together they made a beautiful family. I am honored to say I knew Joe and will always remember his witty sense of humor. Our. Condolences to all the Anthony family, and remember one thing ....although Joe has left our world, the world will never leave Joe as his legacy will be carried on in our prayers , our memories and our hearts.....Hector and Marisela Maritinez and children Samuel and Ellie
