TRIBUTE TO MY WONDER WOMAN
matuda she calls me, my daughter from another mother, my adopted daughter. mummy its still hard to belive you re gone, i remembered when i first met you, mummy you where so free and friendly with me, you welcome me with open hand and mind, you even brought our daily manner book i needed for me, you joke and laughed with us that evening and even prayed for i and titi before we left. oh mummy your love for me didnt end there. in your selfless act mummy i remembered you leaving your luggage back in nigeria just to bring the things i needed here for me, yet you didnt stop loving me, you showed me so much love in your prayers for me, you advice me always and always want to put me on the right part. mummy in that same love you ensured that whenever i have any misunderstanding with titi and queeneth that we settle it, but it also didnt stop there, you encourge me always to study and write my examination. mummy you never treated me like your daughters friend, you took me like your daughter, even when we go for your hospital visit, you will tell the doctors, even the nurse that i am daughter. my regret mummy is i never get to take you for vacations, never got to go for that picnic, never going to buy amala, ewedu and gbegiri for you, never going to hear you call me matuda, and you never got to see me pass my exam, but be reassured mummy i will inform you of my success in the exam. just yesterday mummy, i heard your voicemail mummy reminding me to rest before i come see you, though its hard and saying goodbye means accepting you re really gone but God knows best, finally heaven has received an ANGEL. i miss you mummy, you will always be my second mother, my wonder woman and your memory will forever live in my heart. GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL, REST WELL AND REST IN THE PERFECT PEACE OF GOD MUMMY

Aunt Ure, it is hard to believe that the angels have carried you home at a time we least expected. We hardly take in the fact that your sudden demise has unexpectedly terminated the moments we would have enjoyed with you after your retirement from your service to your country.
Auntie, as I always referred you; you are a beautiful woman with a good heart and God fearing. But it is hard to come to terms with the fact that we will never hear from you again. Sweet memories fill me anytime I remember the advice you found pleasure in sharing with me whenever we spoke, they will forever be cherished.
Psalms 119:50 - My comfort in my suffering is this: your promise preserves my life.
You fought a good fight and won the race. You left a legacy that will be read through the generations, current and to come. You left a mark in our hearts, which nothing will ever erase. It is indelible in our hearts.
You are a rare gem and will forever be cherished.

From childhood I admired you. Your strength, stature, optimism and determination to never give up was inspiring. You never allowed situations describe who you are and you had a large heart to accommodate even when it wasn't convenient.
Aunty me, when we thought it was time for you to rest and enjoy the company of your children and grand children, when we thought a new chapter had opened: you had so much to live for; but God knows best.
Keep resting in the bosom of God until we meet to part no more.

O death, where is thy sting?
You couldn't do more than you have done.
We take solace in the fact that you have gone to be in a better place - where pain and sorrow does not exist.
Sis Ure ( as i fondly called you) You were a strong woman, determined and always achieving.
You got the nickname "Ure & Sons & Daughters from me, because of the many children you lovingly take up as your own, your doors were too wide and welcoming for all.
The seeds you planted will continue to grow and expand.

TRIBUTE TO MY LOVELY AUNTY
I can’t believe I am writing a tribute for Aunty Ure this early, even if I was told in a dream,I wouldn’t have believed it.Odiegwuo, life is meaningless.
Just two year’s ago, about this time also,I lost my husband, her beloved younger brother to the cold hands of death and now all the bottled up pains and sorrows has re-surfaced,but I cannot question God,He alone gives and He alone takes.
This wonderful, resilient woman, Aunty Ure was more of a sister than an Inlaw to me.We had a beautiful, sisterly relationship.I saw in her an elderly sister I didn’t have. She was always there for me,ready to assist me in any way she could, her hands were always open for assistance. She was the most considerate woman I have ever met, filled with milk of human kindness even to a fault,a lover of God,so caring, even in her sick bed,she was still bothering herself over her family and friends. She was my role model and I loved her even in death.
I could go on and on about this beautifully hearted woman, but there’s no need for that now because I know you’re in a better place, where you truly belonged because the world does not deserve an angel like you.
Bye my lovely sister/Aunty,we loved you but God loves you more,we’re only consoled with the fact that we’d eventually meet on the resurrection day to part no more.Adieu my beautiful sister, Ucheoma Asiegbu

IN MEMORIAM
A loving tribute to OUR BELOVED SISTER, LATE MRS. URENNA KALU EMOLE, (Nee Asiegbu).
It is with great sadness that AWCO, North America Branch, mourns the death of one of it's most widely and highly respected member, Madam Ure Kalu Emole.
Our sister passed on in Dallas, Texas on April 5, 2021, after a prolonged illness and pain, which she handled with optimism and grace.
Late Ure Kalu Emole was married to Chief Kalu Emole and together they had three children - two boys and one girl.
For over decades, she served in the Nigeria Custom where she exhibited fierce dedication to duty and doing what is right till her retirement. Late madam Ure was among the pioneer members of AWCO ( Abiriba Women Cultural Organization) Lagos branch, she contributed selflessly to ensuring we lift our community immensely. Also, she actively served as the Vice President of the ACIU (Abiriba Community Improvement Union) Lagos branch, (and the first woman to occupy that office) shortly before moving to the United States where she answered her final call to glory.
Although her physical presence is gone, the lessons she taught us in life and while courageously approaching eternity will serve us all well for many years to come.
Late Ure was an amazing individual who helped so many in her community. She was a tireless and unassuming advocate for the charitable causes she believed in and she always knew how to make other people feel special. Her big smile, love and devotion to her family, community and friends were known to all who knew her. She will be truly be missed by her family, AWCO and friends.
While we all mourn her, we know what great trust she had in the promises of Christ, what confidence she had in the very thought of being a guest in heaven.
As we remember our dear sister in Christ, we pray for her children, grandchildren, family, friends and AWCO whom she loved dearly.
Rest in Peace our beloved sister, Ure Kalu Emole. May your memory be a blessing!

Dearest Mumc, words fail me as I write this tribute. Images of you keep flashing in my head from the many years I've known you since I was a teenager, from being in your home, in my home, in church, at social events, etc. You were like a big sister to my mum and I was privileged to be called one of your daughters.
Your good nature and generosity of heart is a God given gift that is rare and cannot be thought. I pray to have that sense of giving and make an impact in people's lives like you did.
I'm consoled knowing that you are no longer in pain, that you had the opportunity to say goodbye to your loved ones and that you made peace with people who had wronged you.
As the Lord has called you home, keep resting in His bossom as you watch over us your children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and many of your loved ones. We will miss you everyday dearest Mumc xx

Sister as we call you, the news of your death came to me as a shock. I would have wished, it was a nightmare. The reality can't be denied as I had no option to accept it. It pained me mostly for I never heard of your being sick for I would have helped for that's the essence of relationship. However, I leaned on the interwoven nature of life and death and only God that knows the time. You left too early when you are needed most, we'll miss you, but our oy remains that, you made it into His Presence, you were focused in your relationship with God and you affected all that came your way positively.
Rest on sister, we'll miss you, but you'll forever live in our hearts. We love you but God loves you most
We receive comfort from God for who He is our Assurance.

Tribute to my loving sister
I sit here and ponder how very much I would like to talk to you today, there are so many things we didn't get to say.
My sister, I know how much you care for me and how much I care for you. Its still hard for me to understand why you had to leave. All I can tell myself is that an angel came and took you by the hand, and said your place was ready in heaven and you had to leave behind all those you dearly loved.
You had so much to live for, you had so much to do....
But our loss is heavens gain.
In life I loved you,
In death, I do the same,
It breaks my heart to lose you, but I will always cherish the beautiful memories we shared together.
Goodbye my beloved sister
Rest on in the Lords blossom till we meet to part no more.

Aunty Ure as we fondly called you. I still find it difficult to believe you are no more.
You were such a kind hearted, peaceful and loving woman. You showed so much love to everyone that comes in contact with you.
You were more than a Sister in-law. You extended the love you had on Uche to us all. We will really miss you.
Our only consolation is that you lived a fulfilled life in Christ. You were a practical Christian and we know it's not how long we live but how well we live our lives.
You fought the good fight, you finished the race and kept the Faith till the end. 2nd Timothy 4 vs 7. I believe you are resting in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Aunty, you were a good and large hearted woman. You will be greatly missed. Sleep on till the resurrection morning when we shall meet to part more.
Adieu Aunty m

It’s been really difficult for me to write this tribute because of the emotion that I feel. However URE and I met when I came to join them in class two. I noticed that She was a very intelligent girl vivacious witty and fun to be with. Ure excelled in her studies and graduated. She went on to marry and marriage produced wonderful children which She was very proud of. Being a smart girl she didn’t allow marriage to cut short her dreams of further education. Therefore She went back to school working hard to excel She did her NYSC in Nigeria Customs Service where she was retained . Ure was a very hard working lady and her testimony from Officers that worked with her shows her character of a friendly accommodating person . My relationship with Ure was beautiful We bore one another’s burden. We confided in each other and Loved one another like Sisters. That’s why it hurts so much to know you are gone .I can’t question God. I’m bitter but God knows best. I know you are with the Angels because you were Godly, prayerful and kind , sometimes to a fault . But that is vintage Ure. You took care of ur Children and extended family. Your home was always full of people and you did not discriminate. You loved people. Above all, you loved God.
I have a lot to say but let me end here. Rest In Peace Nwami obuoma, strong woman of Customs. The officer with a heart of Gold.
Rest until the Ressurection Morning.
I will miss you and I’d continue to cherish our friendship.
Adieu Urenna, the elegant Stallion.

Big mummy as we fondly call you, it is hard to believe that the angels have packed you home at a time we least expected. We hardly take in the fact that your sudden demise has unexpectedly terminated the moments we enjoyed with you. I do wonder if we will ever find anyone to take your place! You left a hollow no one can ever fill halfway.
Big mummy, as we always referred you; you are a beautiful flower plucked from the flower bed to be a sweet-smelling savor in the presence of your maker. But it is hard to come into terms with the fact that we will never hear from you again. Sweet memories fill me anytime I remember the advice you found pleasure in sharing with us and will forever be cherished. We found consolation in you whenever we got downhearted. Your benevolent smile lifted our hearts anytime you were near us. It’s gone now! Never to come back, oh. How sad I feel until now! You had a healing voice, which was ever heard in your favorite song, “. My phone is ringing divine connection people are saying congratulations ” The glow in your eyes always sent encouragement to far and wide. Everyone admired your wisdom in solving complex issues any time we sought your input. You were a role model, and now we can proudly say that you left footprints in the sands of time. Big mummy, you were calm even when a situation seemed unbearable. Admittedly, we have lost a precious jewel; if death were stoppable, we would have kept it from coming your way.
Big mummy, you always worked hard, and I believe it is the reason why you were able to raise us. We always see you wake early in the morning and report to work to ensure there were food and upkeep for the family at all times.
Big mummy, we were looking forward to the day you visit Nigeria again unfortunately the cold hands of death has taken you from us
Fare thee well Big mummy. You fought a good fight and won the race. You left a legacy that will be read through the generations, current and to come. You left a mark in our hearts, and nothing will ever erase. It is indelible in our hearts.
You were a gem and will remain to be cherished.

Tribute To A beautiful Soul
Like a candle, she’s blown away...
Ure, nwanne m nwami as we called ourselves, it’s been difficult to come to terms with the fact that you are gone. That brings an end to a beautiful life of a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart. You left without notice.
You left your loving children, grandchildren and aged mother without looking back.
We are all devastated.
After all the hard work and struggles?
I believe the word of God in Eccl 3:1-8(there’s time for everything).
We loved you, God loves you more..
Even though you are gone away, your love will always be here to stay.
You really touched our lives and hearts with so many things.
God knew you were the one to save, He took you home to get some rest,
Even though we loved you, our hearts are filled with so much pain.
God loved you more, there was no shame.
At this time, we must let go.
Your memories we will keep a flow.
Rest my dear cousin with peace of mind.
Your memories will live on through...we shall meet again on the resurrection morn.
...and asking God to surround you with His perfect peace.
Rest In Peace.
From your cousin,

Epitome of beauty, the woman of substance. The virtuous woman. I'm celebrating a woman of honor and dignity. A cheerful soul with heart of gold. You are a woman among women, a definition of beauty, grace, love and poise. Despite all you were and all that you have attained, you were so unassuming.
You were a source of hope and inspiration to many. How you managed the role of a mother, father, sister, caretaker to your children, siblings, friends and to everyone that came along your way, leaves me amazed. I DOFF MY HAT TO YOU.
You are simply a Quintessential Amazon BIG SISTER.
We are blessed to have known you.
Thanks for the passion.
Thanks for the focus
Thanks for the truth
Thanks for the undaunted motives
Thanks for the Gift that keeps giving
Thanks for holding nothing back
Theres no better time for me to say "thank you" than today
Your demise came with a big shock and also a reflection- nothing good lasts forever. But however, my consolation in the midst of the confusion is that you died in the Lord and resting peacefully now in His bosom where you are safe in the hands of Jesus.
Posterity will continue to testify of your greatness. God Himself has perfected all that concerns you. I join the Host of Heaven and your children to celebrate you today for a life well spent eventhough too short. Though so hard and painful to say goodbye but you have fought a good fight and your foot print is marked in marble.

Ure Customs, as I always call you, our journey together started many years ago when our children attended the same primary school in Lagos. Our children first met, introduced us and we became friends.
We became members of the same church where we prayer and worshipped God together. You always made certain my children did not run into any problems at the airport. You cared deeply for their safety. Little did I know that our Lagos friendship would develop and I would call you family. We became in-laws when your son Stanley married my first daughter Uju.
During the marriage celebration, you made certain everything required by customs were completed without any problems. I truly discovered your kindness, patience and lack of confrontational nature.
You loved and adored my daughter Uju as if she was your own. That love became mutual as Uju reciprocated your love.
You were a wonderful woman, who was God fearing. You always looked to God in all you did.
Ure Customs, my worthy in-law, you lived an exemplary life. You worked hard to train all your children, loved them and adored your grandchildren unconditionally.
You planted goodness in your life and related well with everyone without discrimination. You helped and supported many who were in need. Your generosity knew no boundaries.
You lived a short life, but richly fulfilled. I will miss your advice and laughter. It saddens my heart to know you are no longer with us on earth, but gladdens my heart you are with our Heavenly Father watching over us all. Your love, kind nature and peaceful memories will continue to be cherished. Your legacy will guide others.
Our last few conversations taught me how not to be afraid of anything thrown my way. I know in the end you were at peace and was not afraid of death.
Rest In Peace my beautiful sister, and thank you for everything you’ve done. You truly left the world better than you found it.
Rest on in paradise until we meet on resurrection morning.
Adieu!

TRIBUTE TO AN IRREPLACEABLE, URE.
Auntie mooo!
No amount of words used to describe your live on earth that can be hyperbolized.
Youu are not just a friend but a sister and mentor. You are strength to everyone that comes way. You never see impossible in any challenge. Always ready to offer every assistance you can. Treats everyone as your own. You loved God so much that it reflected in your relationship with everyone. I can go on and on.
But what is most important is that you came, lived and conquered in this short while. You left a vast imprint that cannot be easily replaced
Rest on auntie in the bosom our Lord who chose to take you on Easter Monday.
And may we, who are left to mourn you find comfort in the Lord and live to your expectations.
Adieu sisterly.
Nelly

Some questions will remain unanswered on this side of the "divide", but the legacy you left behind is largely undeniable. Selfless, caring, and always willing to sacrifice for others..., what else can I say?
I'm still yet to come to terms that you left us early but honored to be a part of your legacy. Adieu "Big Mommy"

Ure Customs as she came to be known was a quintessential Abiriba woman, who knew how to use her opportunities to assist and be an asset to all around her and her community in general.
You just needed a casual acquaintance with her to experience that exuberance of love and care she bore for all.
We shall surely miss you my dear sister. Rest well in the bosom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
Amen
