I only just heard of this news through our friend Eddie Rueswald. Our hearts are saddened and prayers are with everyone whose lives were touched and enriched by Marcella. I taught Doug at Holy Family and later invited him to speak and sing to my 6th grade class. What a memorable witness to the Lord...and who knew this cross he would carry. With love and blessings of peace...may the light of Marcella’s life continue to shine as she rests in His eternal life. Deacon Jerry and Mary Besze

I met Marcella at a Community prayer meeting in Dallas, TX. She was always hugging someone and had a great faith. I was at the wedding for her and Doug Weisbruch. Doug sang a song for her as she was coming up the altar, something I had never seen at a wedding, or seen since! One thing I can say is Marcella loved everybody she came across. Most of all, she loved Doug and all their children! Rest in peace, Marcella.

I met Marcella when she was one of the leaders at the N.E.T. discipleship week in East Texas. Doug was the youth minister at my parish in Plano. Marcella was a wonderful example of how to follow Christ.
Marcella, may you enjoy your time in heaven.

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Macella’s passing. I had been crying all day long. As I sat in meditation a memory of Marcella came to me like a ton of bricks falling on me. I thought back to a time when we were age 6-7 years old. Marcella would get so so excited when she would be telling us a story. She would say “And then “ And then” And then” She could not get her word out fast enough.
That small memory made me smile and laugh at the same time when I was sad. She was such a cute lil girl that would get so excited when we would play. And now when I get sad I think of her saying “And then, And then,And then”. And it puts a smile on my face. Just like to her to leave me smiling. Even though I hadn’t seen her in while, I will miss her. I love you Marcella!

I will forever remember Marcella's sweet smile and loving spirit. She would always graciously greet others and had the gift of making one feel cared about and appreciated for who they were without question. People who truly love in this manner are rare to find, and I am so gracious that my family and I were priveledged to have experienced the friendship of Marcella. It saddens me that she and I will not cross paths on Earth, but gladdens me that we will again in Heaven, and I have no doubt she will be the same...as her personality here was just as beautiful as any soul's in Heaven. My condolences to all of her family; you are all so close and loving of one another that I know this is tremendous, but that in and of itself is a gift that will always serve you. Her loving strength and teachings are the very things that will carry you all through...and what a gracious gift this is indeed. One that will last forever.

I will always remember how lovely and kind Marcella was to my brother, mother and myself. On days where it was very hard to be happy, Marcella would light up our lives with her contagious happiness. I considered her to be an aunt, and Doug an uncle. My deepest condolences to the Weisbruch family during their time of need. A candle burns in the St. Matthew's chapel in Bellevue NE.

It's hard for me to imagine Doug without Marcella and vice versa. If ever was there a witness of marriage where two become one, it was them. Thank you for being that witness to all of us. We love you, Marcella, and will miss you. Until we can all meet again in eternity, please pray for us down here still fighting the battle. I wish you, Doug, and the kids, comfort from Christ to sustain you all.

Marcella and Doug deeply touched my life when I was a teenager and young woman in Plano, Texas. They were examples of true love - for each other and for everyone in their life. Like everyone who has had the privilege of knowing Marcella, she was a true blessing in my life. The world has lost a woman of true beauty and grace but heaven has gained an angel. Much love to the entire Weisbruch family in this difficult time.

I truly could see God radiating from her at all times. Thank you for showing me how to see more things through Gods eyes. I love you Marcella!!!

I will never forget meeting this wonderful family when began to go to St. Luke's. We loved hearing them sing in the kids mass and they always made families feel so welcomed. She had a smile that would like up the room and to think that my girls first communion dress was one of her girls. They always say in front of us in church and I hate to hear of this news. Prayers to the family for comfort and strength during this time.

So honored to have met this beautiful friend when I started teaching at St. Mary’s, over 12 years ago. I was in awe of the family, she & Doug’s prayers for Gary & I as we had been through difficult times with starting a family. Her praying with and over me when we were getting ready to welcome our Gabriella into the world. She and some other moms had put a beautiful baby basket together. She made not just me, but others laugh & smile. I always loved her hugs, when I did see her & her energy was great. Sometime last year, we had a meeting at the church. I went up to her after it was over. She told me words I would forever cherish, after our brief talk ...”always keep your smile, you are strong, continue to live & serve our God, your husband & your kids. You are doing a great job.” What a most beautiful Angel God has with him.
