Obituary of Domingo Urias

Domingo “Tata” Urias was born July 22, 1957 to Domingo Sr. and Eloise Urias. Domingo went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2019 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 61.

In 1985 Domingo married Gina Marie Cotroneo. To that union was born one child, Miles Justin Urias. Domingo had 7 children (in order by age) Christopher, Jenny, Veronica Michelle, Domingo,  Christopher and Miles. Domingo has 6 grandchildren Vincent, Zoe, Briella, Ayleiana, Isabella, & Sophie. siblings, Beatrice Urias Guerra, Lupe Urias, Elizabeth Urias Ramos and many relatives. Proceeded in death; parents, sister, Eloise Urias Reyes.

Soon after Domingo married he began selling Saladmaster cookware. He sold so much cookware that he earned the number #1 sales award. He worked at Dixico, Inc. in research and development. In 1998 in received his FAA license and worked for KC Aviation at Lovefield Airport. He finished his fifteen year career at Oracle as an Operations Analyst.

Domingo was an accomplished musician with numerous albums. His recorded work spanned throughout the Unitied States, Japan, and Mexico. He appeared on many television shows and Radio. One of his proudest moments was when he appeared on Austin City Limits with Little Joe and Willie Nelson. His work included Gospel and secular recordings. Domingo was most passionate about touching lives with the Word of God. He was a generous, loving, gentle, and kind person. He always made us laugh with his “off the wall humor”. He was an active and dedicated member of the Church, Sounds & Conversations.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday 25th 6-8 pm & Saturday 26 11am at 210 Tucson Drive Duncanville, Texas, with a reception to follow at church. Pastor Michael Cervantes will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Domingo’s life.
