Aunt Sissy was one of the most thoughtful and kind people you would ever meet. I will miss her so much, but I am thankful she is no longer suffering. One of my last memories of her was when I was home for Christmas and it was just her and I in the house and we decided to watch this random hgtv show about how these 4 home renovators could decorate identical houses. We were both cracking up at some of our own commentary and I learned that she also shared an interest and fascination with home improvement tv shows. We stayed up to 1 am so we could find out who won and we were both surprised by the winner. The time flew by and we didn’t even realize how late it was! We were jus having fun, and talking about what we would have done differently if we had been contestants.
I will miss her and this little moment we shared, along with many others. Heaven surely gained an angel, and I know that grandma was there to welcome her home.

Aunt Sissy, you will be missed dearly. I knew her as one of the best and most caring people in this world. She didn't deserve the pain she'd been going through, but somehow still managed to keep her optimism throughout her whole battle. She was a brave and strong woman who I will continue to look up to. We all love you very much.

Aunt Sissy, it's still kinda hard for me to know that you're gone. When you lived with me and my parents, I saw you as someone I can come home and talk with and take to bingo with. I'm going to miss our bingo trips on Friday nights and coming home to talk to you about my students. I'm going to miss your hugs and how you squeeze me with all your might and rock us back and forth. I miss you Aunt Sissy and I love you so much.

My aunt and godmother Sissy was an angel on this earth - she was likely the kindest person I knew. She was always there for my sisters and I throughout our whole lives despite living halfway across the country. Her care was endless, for everyone, not just her loved ones. We should all take after Sissy in the immense amount of grace and thoughtfulness she gave. Throughout her journey she never complained and could always find something light-hearted and cheerful to say, even on days when she was in a lot of pain. Aunt Sissy was funny to be sure! I'm going to miss her very much, I love you aunt Sissy.❤️

My aunt Sissy was a bright light to all who knew her. She never had a cross word to say about anyone and always managed to see the good side of everything. <3 She was patient, kind, and so unbelievably caring.
