Joe Looney

Obituary of Joe Hudson Looney

Joe Hudson Looney was born October 2, 1949 to Billy Albert and Helen Holland Looney in Dallas, Texas.  Joe passed away from this life into eternity on January 9th, 2019 after a courageous fight against colon cancer.

Joe graduated from Brian Adams High School in 1968.  He earned a B.A. in Business from UT-Arlington in 1972.  He worked for Ford Motor Company while he attended UTA and went to work at NCH Corporation in 1973 upon graduating.  Joe worked for NCH a total of 43 years.

Joe married Vickie Marie Rich in December of 1970 and they had one son, Marc.  Joe’s passion for sports grew right along with Marc.  He loved watching Marc play basketball, baseball and soccer.  He also derived great pleasure from watching Marc and Angela’s daughter (Avery) and son (Jack) play soccer, volleyball, baseball, football and golf, as well as all types of sporting events on TV.

Joe was a member of Prestonwood Church in Plano and prior to that, Lakepoint Church in Rockwall.  He actively supported Crio Ministries, which began and is sustained by his long-time personal friend Dr. Ron Hesser.  A memoriam has been created in his memory by Crio Ministiries which builds and supports churches and orphanages in Africa.  Contributions in Joe’s name may be mailed to:
