My family moved from Chicago down to Plano in 1991, and Roger was the first Barber to cut my hair down here at the age of 7. Throughout my time growing up in Plano, through college, and moving back and starting a family, Roger always enjoyed talking about my years playing college football and working in sports architecture. From my first days at his chair by the front having to sit on a bench, to my last haircut with Roger before COVID hit, I’ll always be thankful for the memories and his caring ways. We will miss you, Roger.

Roger cut my son's hair for about 10 years. My son was away at college, then covid so we just found out about Roger passing. I am so sorry for your loss! He was such a nice man and my son really enjoyed their conversations. He will be missed! Many prayers for all of you, his family! -Heidi & Trey Holguin

So sorry to hear of Roger’s passing. Roger started cutting my hair when I moved to Plano with my family in 1991. Roger always had a big smile and a kind word for the 29-years that I went to him. Many times I would wait an hour or two on a busy Saturday just so Roger could cut my hair...I did’t trust anyone else...We always talked sports and he would give me a little shoulder massage while we talked. My two boys loved going to Roger. In fact, he gave my younger son his very first haircut at 8-months old. After their haircuts he always gave them some change to get a piece of gum from the gum ball machine in the corner. As my boys grew older and went off to college, the first thing they always wanted to do when home over Thanksgiving break was to go see Roger and get a haircut. They gave him a University of Kansas cap to add to his collection on the shelf above the mirror.
Roger will be missed by all who knew him. May his memory be a blessing.
The Engelson Family...Jon, Marcie, Sammy & Matthew.

I’ll surely miss Roger! Roger will be remembered for not only being an excellent barber, but a friend to many. He was a wonderful conversationalist and loved to talk about golf, baseball and football, or most anything else that was on your mind or the topic-of-the-day. In typical Roger fashion, he was always a fun guy to talk to, and once you got to know him you realized just how kind and caring he was. My sincerest condolences go out to his family, with special warmth to Randy, Fred and Michael. Rest in peace buddy. Godspeed…
