Obituary of Beverly Doke

Beverly Tipton Doke, 80, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 1, 2020 following an extended illness. Beverly was born in Dallas, Texas on December 5, 1939 to Roscoe and Marian Tipton, and grew up in University Park, Texas. She graduated from Loretto Heights College in Denver, Colorado. Shortly thereafter, she met and married her husband of 54 years, Gerald. Beverly loved to cook for friends and family, volunteered for numerous organizations and was devoted to her family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Geoff Doke (Joleen), John Doke (Susan), Chris Doke (Megan), fourteen grandchildren, and many close friends. Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Pirot Doke, her father John Roscoe Tipton, DDS and mother Marian Lyndon (Smith) Tipton. A private family burial will be held at Calvary Hill Cemetery on Saturday, April 4, 2020. A memorial mass is anticipated to be held at a future date.
