Thoughts and prayers for your family. Buddy was the project manager on my Perry home (2018). Super nice guy. I later discovered that Buddy was coach by my brother in law (R. Gary Ness) at UNM. Small world.

Buddy's sister Lisa and I spent most weekends together in high school and Buddy was the adorably annoying little brother... often wanting to hang with (or spy on) us. He was mischievously sweet and shy around me, and I appreciated his quiet and introspective personality. As he developed his talent as an accomplished football player, I felt the pride of a sister when he would make an impressive play or our team would win. Truly, the Funck family was an example of how loving and supportive families could be, and I will be forever grateful to them for their inspiration and influence in my life. Sincerest condolences and prayers for comfort, and His peace.

I have many memories of Buddy when we played against one another in little league sports. We went to the same junior high and high school. One of my favorite memories was playing with Buddy when he played his first official round of golf at Meadowbrook (maybe age 14) in Fort Worth. He shot 88 !! Pretty incredible. Buddy was a very good friend an amazing athlete and person. I miss him and am glad I have many wonderful memories to call upon. If you are lucky enough to have known Buddy, you are likely a better person for it.

It was my privilege to work with Buddy at Perry Homes for nearly 10 years. He was a calming force in many chaotic situations in the new home industry. I knew Buddy would keep his word, and keep his schedule, to complete tasks for our mutual clients. Our friendship meant a lot to me thru the years, and it's hard to believe he is gone. To his children, I'd say you had a kind-hearted and loving father and I had a wonderful friend. Pat King Steele

I have fond memories of Buddy who lived just three doors down when we were kids. Buddy had the most beautiful blue eyes. I’ll always remember him often playing catch with his dad as we all played around the neighborhood. My prayers are with his sister, Lisa and his children.

Buddy was my first school-girl crush. My dad, Mack Baker, was the coach of the RYA Chiefs, and, of course, Buddy was the quarterback. Being 2 years younger, I'm sure he didn't know I existed. My dad was so proud of Buddy, and continued to follow him through high school, college, and beyond. I was a sophomore at Richland when Buddy was a senior. He was always so nice to me whenever we would cross paths. I lost touch with Buddy until this past summer when I ran across his Facebook page. I'm so glad I did. I was able to reach out, and we reconnected sharing memories of the RYA days. I was also able to see the remarkable father, Christian, and musician he had become. I even had the honor of meeting Winston. Like so many others, I'm still in shock at his sudden passing. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to see and talk to him again. Buddy, you have left a lasting impression on all of us blessed to call you friend. God's speed, and I'll see you again one fine day.
