Dr Rider and Lisa have been a part a my life for many years and I feel blessed for the Friendship, Coaching, Medical Treatment, and Genuine Care they both have given to my daughters and me. They have been with me through celebratory and challenging times, and throughout our journey, they were always loyal to me as a human being, there with support and encouragement, and not limited by the definition of a traditional business / client relationship. Dr Rider served as my Doctor, Coach, Mentor and Friend and I will Miss him Greatly! Even his "Gentle" reminders for me to be more timely with my own care. : )
It seemed that Dr Rider had a direct, intelligent, and thoughtful approach to everything in his life. He demonstrated that similar methodology in everything he approached from his initial meeting and courtship of Lisa, (Admittedly, this is "Hear Say", as I wasn't present, but he shared with me his account of their "Meeting" during a number of our visits); to mine and my families care; to the advice and counsel he gave; through his Exceptional "Paper Basketball, Shooting skills; and even through his travel and adventures with Lisa.
His Passion for His Patients, Life, Lisa, Travel, Music, Food, and the Outdoors were always on display and never in question.
While I will miss him, His was a life "Well Lived!"
There is no doubt in my mind, he is in Heaven, and was Greated by our Maker with an enthusiastic "Job Well Done! My Good and Faithful Servant"
Dr Rider, Thank You for Everything, I am Blessed to have had You and Lisa in my life!

Dr Rider was so personable and cheery whenever I went in. His office was so friendly and had toys for the kids to play with which was really special. He was the only doctor that helped me find relief with migraines. I'll miss going to that office with Lisa and Dr. Rider!

I was in severe pain on a daily basis and Dr Rider is the only doctor who helped me to heal although I didn’t believe in chiropractors at the time. I was a patient for about 18 years.
Dr Rider was always smiling and in a good mood every time I saw him. He cared a lot about his patients and their health which is hard to find in some doctors these days.
Thank you Dr Rider for all that you did for me and your other patients. You will be missed every single day.
RIP Prayers for the Rider family.

Doctor Rider, or "Doc" as I called him, was an amazing healer and his love for his patients was evident in everything he did for us. He treated the mind and the soul, not just the body. I am so grateful to have known him and to call him friend. He will be missed, but I know he is in heaven watching out for us. God bless you Doc.

I am so blessed to have known Michael and Lisa professionally and as friends. Like so many others I always looked forward to his warmth and humor while receiving excellent care. The time of chatting, sharing, and counseling after adjusting was always given without limit. All his patients were truly blessed by his wonderful personality and character.

Dr. Rider will always have a special place in my heart. He gave me back my life. Having sought various therapies and medicines for my debilitating monthly migraines, I started treatment with Dr, Rider in 2004. Very soon thereafter I noticed fewer and fewer migraines. After a while they disappeared, and I now am migraine-free
.
Dr. Rider also treated my husband and son over the years with success.
He was a very kind, funny, and sympathetic man, and I miss seeing this dear man's face.

I meet Dr Rider thru his wife Lisa, who at the time was promoting in the 24Hour Fitness on Trinity Mills and Marsh Lane. When I walked into the office, decorated with Frog everything, I knew I was in the right place. (I too collected Frogs) It has been over 20 years of jokes (some very silly) and missed shots of paper into the wide mouth Frog basket. His eyes would light up when he talked about him and Lisa traveling and going to Chili cook offs. Dr. Rider was special and is missed.

Dr. Rider always looked forward to travelling with Lisa throughout the Southwest. I enjoyed his descriptions of his continuing search for the perfect view and the perfect chili. I respected his service in the Marine Corps during tough times. He was always thorough, positive, and professional.
He always maintained his sense of humor. I knew about his time as an engineer working on missiles, and I laughed when I was talking to him about an adjustment and he replied, "You know, it's not rocket science." In fact, it was so much more than that.
Irreplaceable and irrepressible. Miss you.

When I first went to meet Dr. Rider I happened to go to the office of the "other" Dr. Mike Rider who was on Alma near Hedgecoxe in Plano. When nobody answered the door I called to speak with Dr. Rider to see where he was. He asked me "where are you?" I said "I am standing outside your door." He said "you're outside somebody's door. You're just not outside my door. I'm standing at my door." Then he chuckled and told me about the other Dr. Mike Rider at which point we both started making light of the situation. It was interesting to me that during that first phone call we had a laugh together about some things. That doesn't really happen very often among peers but it made me immediately comfortable with Dr. Rider. When I sat down to visit with him we just got along exceptionally well from the start. Eventually we found that we had many common interests which included music and movies. I was privileged to hear some of the "joke of the day" options that he decided against. Hilarious! I miss him very much as do all of you who got to know him over the years. He was a beautiful man and a rare example.

I was referred to Dr. Rider in 2002 and am so thankful to have known him and Lisa not only as a patient but as a friend. He truly cared for his patients and never tired of or wavered from his passion to help others through chiropractic care.
Dr Rider was always smiling and positive, all while carefully listening to health updates, successes and concerns.
His level of care is unmatched, except for Dr. Scott filling in during this most challenging time.
I will miss Dr. Rider and am so thankful to have known him.

Dr. Rider was such a kind man, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
I remember the time when he injured his toy while moving his office; I asked him if he visited a doctor for his toy injury and he looked at me and said what do you mean? I am a Doctor! And then we both laughed.
He always talked about his love for nature and visits to all the famous nature parks.
We will miss his visit to our office.
May God bless Lisa and all their family during this time and always.

I first came to Dr. Rider sometime in 2011-2012, and immediately felt comfortable with him and Lisa. They always expressed genuine interest in how I was doing not just in terms of my chiropractic care, but in all facets of my life; that kind of genuine interest in people is a rare thing indeed these days. Dr. Rider was always ready with a smile and a quip or a joke, regardless of the challenges he was personally facing at the time, and even a brief visit with him often served to improve my day. I sincerely miss Dr. Rider, and wish nothing but the best for Lisa in her pursuit of life without the company of one of the most genuine and compassionate people I have had the pleasure of meeting.

I am honored to have known Dr. Rider. In the best way, Michael touched me and my family and our love for him was his spirit. He was genuine, kind and had so many other virtues that made him so lovable. Dr. Rider always had a smile on his face, and could make us laugh.
While it is sad news, I smile when I think of Michael. This has been a difficult time for Lisa, but Lisa, know that Michael brings warmth to my heart. I will miss him.

Oh how to even begin. I came to Dr. Rider over 10 or 11 years ago with my then roommate Gus Reiter. Gus got an advert at the gym he was a member of back then and asked me to come along. I didn't know anything about chiropractic and frankly. The whole idea freaked me out. I feared my bones would break since I am so tiny. Well. After I was so very well educated by Dr. Rider. I was willing to give it a go. Among all his other talents mentioned in this memorial. He's also one excellent teacher. He makes learning fun and unforgettable. He even did a lesson where he asked all his patients in attendance to get up and dance. Boy, was that fun! Dr. Rider is the only person who was able to heal my eyesight. He explained to me that the reason I can see clearly for the first time after a lifetime of being stuck in glasses is because of the optic nerve. The subluxations in my neck and upper spine were blocking the optic nerve images from my eyeballs, down through my spinal nerves and back up to my brain. Pinching off clear images like slowing a strong gush of water from a garden hose by pinching the hose until the water is just a slow stream, a dribble or drops or just gets all cut off and ceases to flow out of the spout. That's what pressure his adjustments have relieved me of. Most of all, that is the biggest healing I've ever had in my life. People can't believe I no longer have to wear glasses or contacts. Throughout those years. When I was able to come in on the slower times of day. Dr. Rider and I would just talk and talk and laugh about anything and everything telling each other about what we did for the week or day or month just as true friends do. He was always there with a hug for me when he heard about my moms death, and my many good friends that have died as well as many other family members. I am no stranger to loss. So very sad that the ones we love the most must pass on to the other place, leaving us alone on earth. The only solace being (in my belief) is that Dr. Rider as well as my mom and numerous passed family members will reunite together in Heaven if that's the will of the Lord.

I met Mike Rider 18 years ago and through the years he became a very good friend. He helped me get rid of debilitating migraine headaches and changed my life. I also worked with him at different times and was indeed dedicated to his patients. He was always upbeat and funny. He loved to tease. I'll never forget Dr Rider and will miss him. Rest in peace my friend.

Dr. Rider was great friend and great doctor. He loved the Dallas Police Choir and was supportive of our various fund-raising efforts. Going by the office each week was a pleasure not only for the treatment but the chance to pet the kitties and find out about the latest adventures of Lisa and Dr. Rider. You will both continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dr. Rider and Lisa were angels for my wife and I. Janie worked the Riders for almost 2 years and the information that we learned was and still is so valuable for us today. Dr. Rider taught me more about how to treat people than the 8 years of college. I still think about him whenever I am adjusting patients.
