My name is Tom Kaser and I live in Hood River, OR. Like Susan, I am a descendant of Oscar and Ella Baird, who were Susan's paternal grandparents. Susan and I were first cousins, once-removed. Her father and my mother were first cousins.
I talked with Susan in 1993, when she was living in Dallas and I was living in Hawaii and writing a short book titled "The Family of Oscar and Ella Baird." The back of that book contained a directory of the descendants of Oscar and Ella Baird.
Currently four other Baird cousins and I are trying to update that directory (not the book itself), and we have been trying to locate Susan or any of her children: Michael, Jane, or Robert. When finished, the directory will be sent, free, to any Baird descendant who wants it; it will not be shared by anyone outside the family.
I am writing this message in hopes that it will be passed on to one of her three children, perhaps one who is interested in genealogy and will contact me so we can update the directory information for one branch of the Baird family--that of Byron Buchanan Baid (Susan's father)--that we have no current information on.
