Obituary of Anthony Louis Pedrazine

Anthony Louis “Luigi” Pedrazine peacefully left this world to rejoice with Jesus on December 11, 2019.  Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13 from 6-8 pm. The memorial service will be on Saturday, December 14 at 11am; both at Merit Memorial in Farmers Branch, Texas.

Anthony was born in San Antonio, Texas to Rudolph “Pete” Pedrazine and Dora Mendez. His family spent 7 years in Oklahoma but quickly returned to Dallas, Texas where Anthony spent the rest of his 54 years. Anthony was a shy, but loving man. He loved the Lord and his family passionately. If you met him, you immediately noticed his smile; if you knew him, you knew his kind heart. He was a life-long learner with 2 bachelor degrees and one masters from the University of Texas educational systems.  He taught himself to speak Spanish, French, Italian and was learning Portuguese. He loved science, languages, politics and Star Trek, and he loved to laugh.

He was a faithful employee at U.T. Southwestern for more than 30 years. For the last 4 years, he worked with Dr. Carol North and her team, and absolutely loved everything that he was learning from them. He loved going to work and would talk about it in detail in the evenings.

Anthony took very seriously the charge from God, “as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” Matthew 25:40 He loved serving his brothers and sisters at Mercy House in Dallas and was willing to help anyone in need, family or stranger.

Most of his life, Anthony took care of his family, but in the last 4 years, he was taken care of by his wife, Carolyn. Together, they traveled, loved, laughed and served.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gallagher Pedrazine; his sister and brother-in-law, Joe and Roxanne Aherns; his nieces and nephews, Marshall Lewis III; Candice and Randy Carter and their four children, Emilio, Emma, Emily, and Joshua; Alan and Sandra Pedrazine and their daughter, Kirbie; his Gallagher family in-laws, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, his great-niece Liliana Carter, and other uncles, aunts, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to World Vision https://www.worldvision.org/ or your local church.
