Obituary of Olin Maxie Blanton
Olin Maxie ("Max") Blanton passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. Born in Dallas County, he was the son of Olin and Lottie Chaffin Blanton.
After graduating from high school, Max then joined the Air Force where he served our country for 24 years, before retiring. He then went to work in Martindale as Chief of Police, then as a Lieutenant for Travis County Sheriff's department for many years before retiring.
In his younger days, Max could be found picking at his guitar or bowling at the local bowling alley. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and really loved visiting with friends, either on social media or at his home in Quinlan.
In addition to his parents (Olin & Lottie) he was preceded in death by his wife; Sandra Blanton of 34 years, and I, brother Jerry Blanton of Farmers Branch.
He is survived by his children; son; Brian Blanton and wife; Christie of Ennis, Texas, daughter; Darlene Blanton Head and husband; Frank of Missouri, grandson; Chad Blanton, brother; Reagan Blanton and wife; Hazel of Garland, Texas. Also, there were many nieces and nephewd, whom he loved dearly.
A celebration of the life of Olin Maxie (Max) Blanton will held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 1:15pm at Dallas National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
