Obituary of Kathleen Mary Weller
Kathleen Walck Weller, of Highland Village, passed away November 7th at the age of 72, with her family by her side.
Kathy was born December 30, 1946 in Allentown, PA to Kitty Minall and Luther Walck. A 1964 graduate of Dieruff High School, Kathy immediately pursued her passion of caring for others by attending the Allentown School of Nursing, graduating in 1967. She worked at Penhurst State School and Wernersville State School until relocating to Highland Village Texas in 1991. She continued to follow her passion for nursing by working at the Denton State School until retiring in 2006.
She was married to the love of her life, Kenneth Weller, for 51 years. Together they enjoyed traveling all around the world and taking family summer vacations to Destin Florida.
Kathy is survived by her three children: Chris Weller; Jennifer and Husband Mark Potter; and son Scott and wife Courtney; four grandchildren, Hunter, Katelyn, Brooke and Emma; her sister Lucille and husband Bill Newhart; and brother Tom and Carol Walck. She is preceded in death by her parents Kitty and Luther Walck.
In memory of Kathy the family asks for donations to be made in her name to The Oasis Program, First Baptist Church of Lewisville, 1251 Valley Ridge, Blvd, Lewisville, TX 75077.
Kathy’s service will be held at 2PM on November 15th at Faith Lutheran Church, 6000 Morriss Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75028.
