Obituary of Lorraine 'Missy' Byrd

Lorraine went home to be with our heavenly father on November 5, 2019 @ 7:54 p.m. Her sons Germaine and Marcus were with her in Dallas, Texas when she gained her wings.

Lorraine was born to the late MC and Helen Byrd. She was raised in Saginaw, Michigan along with 10 sisters and brothers. She exuded confidence and courage, unlike any other lady you’ll meet. Her bubbly personality was infectious as she had the sweet disposition of an angel. Her love for people was unmeasurable. Courageous Lorraine left Michigan at a young age and she relocated to Dallas, Texas to raise her two sons: Germaine (Debra), Marcus Byrd and daughter: Valarie Roby.

Lorraine is survived by three sisters and four brothers: Betty Salter, Dorothy (Martel) Harris, Robert Calhoun, Pearlie (Henry) Hunter, Charles Byrd, Willie Ray Byrd, and Melvin (Deborah) Byrd.  Also, granddaughters, Catandra Byrd, Krisitan Byrd, Alexis Mclaughlin and a host of great grandchildren.  She also has three sisters and one brother that preceded her in passing: Deborah Ann Byrd, Delphine Christopher, Arbdell Byrd, and James Willie Byrd.

Her sweet spirit will remain with us forever.
