I am grateful and thankful that I had the opportunity to work with Larry as his Personal Trainer at Robson Ranch. I looked forward to every training session with Larry because of his humor and outlook on life. You never knew what he was going to say, and when he did, you were always wondering if anyone else heard what he just said. Laughter and boxing was a big part of our training sessions, and Larry always kept me on toes because he could "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee!"
Larry, I'm gonna miss catching your punches, hearing your jokes, and the humor you brought to every session and Rock Steady Boxing Workout. We're going to keep the fight going for you and will always remember your 1-2-hook-uppercut!!!

We are heart broken to hear of Larry’s passing! Our family spent great times sailing at Fort Worth Boat Club and Grapevine Sailing Club with Larry. One day Larry told me that his mother had passed away and he missed her. He told me my mother reminded him of his mother and would it be ok if she could be his mother also? My mom and I were honored and I always called Larry my brother ever after.
Biggest smile and heart and always helping others. My father passed from the same vicious disease and donated his brain to UNT Medical here - great minds think alike and no doubt an effort to help others. The Smiths send their love and treasure the times we had with Larry. Love and warmest condolences for your loss Spruiell’s - Larry is definitely one of Gods angels!

Larry always had a great smile on his face. He was thoughtful, generous, and caring. He loved a good dessert with coffee. It was always a pleasure to spend time in his presence. He will be missed.

Treasured Memory of Larry -
When Jacquelyn called to say there was "someone special" in her life, she mentioned, "Mother, he is closer to your age than mine!" Here is a girl in her mid-30's - never too impressed with any man, who fell like a ton of bricks! He had class and was a man with impeccable taste. Early on in their relationship, Larry began to call me "Sis", and yet he always respected my place in the family as Mother. I appreciated so much that he truly wanted to be a part of our family.
I will never make cinnamon toast or cinnamon rolls without thinking of Larry. Jerry made sure we always had horseradish and divinity for Larry at Christmas. He introduced me to red wine many years ago, and a good Cabernet is still my favorite.
He made my daughter happy. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise God for Larry Spruiell !

Larry is the love of my life. I was embraced by his charm and class, while led by his goals, dreams and creativity. Lucky me, to have a belly laugh every day! I'm so grateful to have shared our journey with God's grace, and proud of Larry for adapting to life's curve balls. Thank you Dear Lord, for the privilege to be his wife, partner and friend, to love him and care for him. Thank you to all family and friends for supporting and enriching our lives. Thru my journey with Larry, these words all have more meaning: Love, Faith, Joy, Peace, Grace, Patience, Belief and Happiness. And the greatest of these is Love.
