Obituary of Doris Ann Dodson
Doris Ann Dodson was called home to eternal rest on October 2nd, 2019, at her home in Carrollton, Texas. She is survived by her three children: James E. (Jim) Morrison of Woodbridge, VA; Laura M. Butzow of Carrollton, TX; and Thomas C. (Tom) Morrison of Dallas, TX; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Brock of Spiceland, IN.
Doris Ann Doub was born in Connersville, Indiana, on May 10th, 1932. She married Robert E. (Bob) Morrison on Oct. 9th, 1953. Widowed in 1985, she later married William (Bill) Dodson. She was dedicated to her work as an administrative assistant and was employed by Plough, Inc.; the US Civil Service; Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN; and finally at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA, until she retired in October of 2010 and moved to Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Laura Doub, husbands Bob Morrison and Bill Dodson, her brother Marion Doub and her sister Linda Lund. Another sister, Margaret Wright, passed away on October 25th, 2019.
A memorial service for Doris will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 10:00 am at Rejoice Lutheran Church in Coppell, TX.
