Obituary of Elaine Salinas
Elaine Rose Salinas, beloved Wife, Mother, and friend; passed away on September 28, 2019 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 63. She was born on March 1, 1956 in New Eagle, Pennsylvania.
Elaine attended Peter’s Township High School in McMurray, Pennsylvania. She would go on to attend Liberty Baptist College in Lynchburg, Virginia as well as Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.
Elaine began her professional career in Southwest Pennsylvania and quickly became known as a highly organized and dedicated employee. It was when working at ANSYS, Inc. that a coworker introduced her to her Husband, Rene. She moved to Dallas and they were married on December 6, 2002.
Elaine would go on to work for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Trinity Hospice, and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas at the Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine. Throughout her career as a research administrator, she assisted in the preparation and execution of numerous clinical research grants. She was an invaluable employee who was sorely missed by her coworkers and friends when her health caused her to retire early.
As wife to Rene and now mother to Casey, Elaine lived with a love for her family, a dedication to her work and a passion for the simple things in life. One of her favorite things to do was to sit down with a good book in her sunroom with Rene and a cup of coffee, watching the birds that she loved to feed. Elaine and Rene enjoyed going on trips around Texas and across the country, always in search of beautiful scenery and wildlife.
Elaine was preceded in death by sister Diane and mother Ann Urbank. She is survived by her husband Rene, and son Casey. A memorial service & celebration of Elaine’s life will be held on October 10th at 6:30 PM at Springcreek Church located at 2660 Belt Line Road in Garland, TX 75044. In lieu of flowers, Elaine requested that donations be sent in her honor to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice.
