Obituary of Delores Kara Hamm

Delores K Hamm (Tippy), 66, Highland Village, Tx, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, after a long illness.  

Tippy Kara Ferris was born in San Pedro, California on Nov. 5, 1952. She graduated from Lawton High School in Lawton, OK and continued her education at Cameron University in Lawton where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She worked for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (Department of Homeland Security) for 33 years.

Tippy enjoyed birding, decorating, cooking and spending time with her family. Her laughter was infectious, and she elevated the lives she touched. Her kindness was inspiring, love profound, and spirit beyond words. She will be missed dearly but remembered fondly.


She is survived by her husband, Randal Hamm, of Highland Village; daughter and son-in-law Tiffany and Bryan Bingham and grandson Gus of Westminster, Co; son Ian Whitcomb of Denton, Tx.; daughter and son-in-law Lindsay and Morgan Wilson and grandson Isaac of Santa Monica, Ca.; son Eric Hamm of Terlingua, Tx.; siblings Kenneth (Nancy) Holland, Linda (Mike) Merola, Barbara (Mike) Eldridge and Leona (Fred) Kruger.

 

Tippy was preceded in death by her parents, Milton L. Ferris and Mary F. Robinson, her sister, Theresa L. Dees and brother Milton Ferris Jr.

A Celebration of Tippy’s life will be held at her home in Highland Village on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019. In lieu of flowers her family asks that donations be made in Tippy's name to Stand up to Cancer (http://gf.me/u/t9ws35).
