Lt Col Charles L. Jackson posted a condolence
Monday, July 22, 2019
I am so very sorry that Jim has gone on his last Corps Trip. We had several classes together at A&M and were together in the intel division at Hq 7th Air Force in Saigon in 1966. When he saw me on his first duty day he was not only amazed that I was there, since I was a non-reg at A&M, but also that I had date of rank over him. Apparently he had a delayed active duty date which was after mine. Another of our co-workers then was a Lt. James Clapper, former Director of National Intelligence.
From my comparatively brief association, I know he was forthright, honorable, and very sharp. I am honored to be Jim’s Aggie classmate and fellow Air Force officer.
My sincere condolences to his loving family and many friends.

Jimmy was always smiling and laughing. He and Bonnie were partners and always welcomed people to their home with open arms and great hospitality. He was a cousin I loved and I will miss him and his love of the history of our Edgar family and the research he did.trying to find out more about our history. He was not only a great husband, but I know he was a great son and Dad.We’ll miss you so and I know you’re with all the people we love.
