Mamie Katherine Sullivan
Mamie Katherine (Kat) Sullivan, age 73 of Odessa and Detroit, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in Flower Mound, Texas.
Mrs. Sullivan was born May 31, 1946, in Mobile, Alabama to Jeff and Ilene Rutland Stringer. She married Archie Delbert Sullivan on November 21, 1962 in Lamesa, Texas. Katherine retired as a CCRN nurse at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa with more than 20 years of service. She loved being a nurse and caring for others. After retirement, they moved to the country and she began being the caregiver to many cats, dogs, horses, cows and beautiful roses that grew along their fence line.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, and one brother.
Memorial Services are set for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at The Hills Church in North Richland Hills, Texas. The service will be officiated by Britt Logan.
Survivors include two daughters, JaNiece Sailors and husband Cecil of Odessa and Michelle Ticer and husband Jason of Katy; one sister, Linda Barfield of Lubbock; three brothers, Tom Stringer and wife MaeBelle of Floresville, Jimmy Stringer and wife Faye of Greenwood, and Bill Stringer and wife Marti of Flower Mound; three grandchildren, Jeremy Chism, Stefanie Law and husband Benjamin, and Candace Powers; and four great-grandchildren.
