Obituary of Suzanne Rogers Speights

Suzanne Lesesne Rogers Speights passed away on Wednesday June 12, 2019 at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, Texas.  She was born on January 11, 1948 in Florence, South Carolina to Arthur and Suzanne Rogers.

Susan, as she was known by her family and friends, graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in 1968 with a degree in Education. She was a devoted daughter, wife and mother who lived  with quiet dignity and a caring soul.   She worked for over 20 years for James Avery Jewelry and leaves behind many devoted friends.  She inspired so many with her strength and independence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jay Speights and her son, Lee Speights, and she joins them in heaven.  She is survived by her daughter, Missy Speights Hubbell of Dallas, two grandsons Jake and Will Hubbell, and her brothers, Arthur Rogers of Houston, Texas and Richard Rogers of Richmond Texas.

A memorial service with a reception to follow will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 17th at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Dallas, Texas.  To honor Susan, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
