Obituary of Richard William Peterson

Richard (Rich) William Peterson of The Colony, Texas passed away Friday, May 24, 2019. Born in Denver, CO in 1949, adopted by Donald and Beverly Peterson in 1951. He graduated from J B Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, IL and pursued studies in Liberal Arts and Broadcasting.  Rich embarked in a long career in the theatres and movie business over the next 40 years.  In addition to the movie industry, Rich enjoyed traveling, scuba diving and fireworks!

While thankful for his entire life and time shared, his family is especially grateful for the last year. In April 2018, Rich was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.  Taking one day at a time, he endured many treatments and fought a formidable battle.  He stayed positive and kept his feisty spirit along the way allowing more time with his loving wife and family.

Rich is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janiece, and his step son Brian Sharp, wife Jeannine and grandchild Kaylee of The Colony, Texas; his half-brother Jerry Cole, wife Sue of Colorado; adoptive sister Linda Walker of Lousiana.

Preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Donald and Beverly Peterson, adoptive brother Bob Peterson.
