Obituary of Juanita Sharlow
Please share a memory of Juanita to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Juanita Ann Sharlow was born on November 21, 1970 (on her grandmother's birthday) and went to be with our Lord on December 15, 2022. Nita was born in Waco, TX and grew up in Plano.
She graduated from Plano East Senior High in 1988. She was 2nd in command of her ROTC company and we were all proud of her many commendations for expert marksmanship on the rifle team. She went on to earn her BS in medical billing and coding and was continuing on toward her master's degree. She not only worked for several major hospitals, but also took time to teach several coding classes.
Nita was strong in her faith and believed that Jesus was her Lord and savior. She joined the First Christian church in Plano over 40 years ago.
Juanita was preceded in death by her father Roger Sharlow and grandparents Bessie Brandon, Margaret and Harry Sharlow, and Uncle Terrell Sharlow. She is survived by her mother Julia Sharlow, her grandfather Don Brandon, sister Tammy Sharlow, sister Christy Blankenship and husband Jackie, brother John Sharlow and wife April, and brother R.C. Sharlow and his wife Cynthia; nieces Amanda and her husband Andrew Taylor, Breanna, Laura Jane, and Vivian; great nieces Laryssa and Eliyana, nephews Malachi, Jayden, Nathan, Brandon, Jackie C, Calvin, Richard, Malachi and Philip; Uncle Donnie and Aunt Linda, Uncle Billie and Aunt Trudy; Uncle Don and Aunt Julie; Aunt Harriet and Uncle Ralph; cousins Amy, Tara, Cody, Clint, Mark, Jennifer, Ann, Karen and their families including second cousins Cameron, Presley, Judd, Sadie, Chance, Jude, Scarlett, Lilly and Maecyn as well as many friends that will miss her deeply.
Nita was named after her mom's favorite aunt, and then she became the favorite aunt. She was always very generous to everyone, but she went all out for her nieces and nephews with planning and organizing birthday parties, Easter egg hunts, Christmas celebrations, and many other outings and events to make sure all the kids felt special.
Nita will be missed terribly by all her family and friends.
