Obituary of Noah Ethan Welborn

Noah Ethan Welborn left this earth on November 27, 2022 in Abilene, TX at the age of twenty-six years. He was born on February 27, 1996 in Mineral Wells, TX to Michael Welborn and Donna Adkins. Noah was raised in Grapevine, TX from the age of 5 and graduated from Grapevine High School in 2014. He enlisted in The United States Air Force in 2017 where he attained the rank of Senior Airman as a Special Ops C-130J Crew Chief under the 317th AMXS Flight Wing. He had been stationed at Dyess Air Force Base since 2018, where he and Hope have lived since they married in 2019. Noah deployed to the Horn of Africa in 2020-2021 in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel and Operation Inherent Resolve. Noah loved his family above all else. He was never happier than when he was with loved ones. He loved the outdoors and was happiest surrounded by trees with a trail under his feet. He spent much of his youth on camping trips with Boy Scout Pack 700, on family vacations to the mountains, hunting with his dad and grandad, boating on Lake Granbury with grandparents, hiking with his step-dad, and spent several weeks every summer at Camp El Tesoro in Granbury, TX. He and Hope took Avery on her first campout last month and he was so excited to show her a campfire. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Hope Welborn and young daughter Avery (Abilene); his dad Michael Welborn and step-mom Monica (Fort Worth); his mom Donna Price, step-dad Curtis, and two sisters Iris “Jude” and Elliot (Grapevine). He is preceded in death by step-mom Lacey Welborn, grandfather Norman Adkins, Sr., and grandfather Charles Wakefield. He leaves a huge extended family of Welborns, Adkinses, Prices, Wakefields, Baileys, McNiels, and so many other family and friends who love and respect him immensely. We will all suffer the loss of Noah’s laid-back, gentle nature, good humor, and easy laugh, but we hope that you carry his legacy forward in love. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Camp El Tesoro: https://www.campfirefw.org/. Please designate your donation for summer camp tuition scholarships and/or De La Vida grief camp in memory of Noah Welborn. And a GoFundMe has been set up to assist with immediate needs for Hope and Avery https://gofund.me/b646e832 Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 6th at First United Methodist Church in Grapevine at 422 S. Church St., Grapevine, TX 76051. Visitation will be from 12pm - 2pm, with services starting at 2pm. There will be a reception at the church immediately following, and Hope has asked anyone who would like to move to Willhoite’s, (432 S. Main St., Grapevine), across the street, to have a drink and share stories about Noah after the church reception is over.
