Uncle Chuck was a special guy! Enthusiastic about people and his hobbies! He was full of stories, full of zeal and full of love! I loved watching Chuck and Wink dance, too!

Chuck and Wink we’re always a lot of fun. We spent many enjoyable evenings attending musical events, one of our common interests. Chuck and I were both Betas. It was always fun attending Beta events and talking about old times. We also shared a dancing class at the Cooper Center. So many happy memories with Uncle Chuck. He taught me to dance when I was a young girl, showed me all over the state of Texas when I was a teenager, conspired to put me in charge of six young children for a long weekend when I was 16, and along with his dear Wink (my Aunt Irene), has been a huge part of my life. I will certainly miss him. Our love to Wink, Rennie and Beth and their families.

I was so very sorry to hear of Chuck’s passing and my deepest sympathy to Wink, his daughters, and his sister Dorothy. Although I haven’t been in touch in many years, growing up our families were very close. I even inherited his car after he and Mae finished with it! Chuck will be greatly missed and he has definitely left his influence on those who knew and loved hi.

I have so many fond memories of Chuck and Wink, starting with their marriage when I was a little girl. I remember a number of Family Reunions at their home in Matthews, NC, attending a Dallas Cowboys game with them (against the New York Giants, I think), and their willingness to help me when I needed help. Chuck lived large, embraced life, and made the lives of those around him more joyful. I will remember him for his sense of humor, kindness and generosity.

Such a generous spirit. I remember his graduation gift given to my eldest son, Fred. It was a basic tool box complete with tools………..he said he knew it would be useful - Indeed it was! Such a thoughtful gift & epitomized Chucks generosity & interest in young people………..Thank you Chuck.
