She also worked extensively as a designer, as a model, as a photographer and even as an auditor for Mutual of Omaha’s travel insurance division. Jennifer volunteered in different Special Olympics programs in the Austin and Dallas areas for five years. She loved the opera and gardening, and she loved traveling, especially to Mexico and to Paris, which she visited many times. She also loved spending time with her many close friends. She helped build a coalition focused on providing clothing to adults with mental disabilities, and volunteered with Agape House, North Texas State Hospital in Wichita Falls, The Volunteer Services Council and more. Jennifer was an advisory board member for the Texas Transition Task Force, and was recognized many times for her work with agencies and programs catering to the needs of those with mental disabilities. Jennifer is survived by her son, Ronald Young, of Garland, and her daughter, Tiffany Cox of Ohio, and by a host of friends she loved like family.
