Gaylord and I have been life long friends.
I still have a coy of a film my Dad shot of us, two frightened 5-year-olds, holding hands and entering our first grade class room for the first time at Sacred Heart Model school, having no idea what was going to happen next.
I looked forward t Gaylord's occasional trips back to Louisville, and enjoyed taking him to baseball and U of L football games. He was a rel Cardinal fan!
While here, he also enjoyed going back to locations that were past of his past while growing-up in Louisville.
Both Gaylord and his family will continue to be in my prayers.
Although death is never easy for those of us who remain, we live with hope that we will all be together again some day , where death is no more and life is eternal.
