Obituary of Corina Lazo Flores

Corina Lazo Flores, de 94 años, murió pacíficamente la noche del jueves 24 de febrero de 2022. Nacio el 8 de Mayo de 1927 en San Miguel, El Salvador, sus padres eran Ruperto Lazo y Trinidad Flores. Corina vivió la mayor parte de su vida en San Miguel y más recientemente en Irving, Texas. De niña, disfrutaba ayudar a sus padres en cuidar a sus hermanos y hermanas. Corina encontró el amor con Luis Jiron (Padre de Isabel Lazo Jiron). Mientras criaba a Isabel, continuó ayudando a cuidar de sus hermanos. Posteriormente, se casó con Luis Garballos (Padre de Antonio Lazo, Candelario Argueta (Ana Argueta), Evangelina Campos (José Campos), Isidoro Lazo, Luis Lazo, Oscar Lazo, Pedro Lazo, René Lazo (Victoria Lazo) y Rosa Lazo). Cuando Luis Garballos falleció a una edad temprana, Corina continuó cultivando la tierra que habían construido juntos mientras criaba a sus hijos con amor. A lo largo de su vida, siempre fue generosa. Además de su familia inmediata, ella siempre estaba allí para ayudar a los necesitados, ya fueran amigos, vecinos o personas que acababa de conocer. Su amor siempre brillo a través de todo lo que hacía. Corina incluso adoptó a Trancito Gaytán, y posteriormente a la hija de Trancito, Ana María (Marina) Lazo, cuando ella nació. Después del fallecimiento de Ana María (Marina) Lazo, Corina cuidó y crió a los hijos de Ana María (Marina) Lazo como si fueran sus propios hijos (Ana Marina Lazo, German Orlando Lazo, Vanessa Stefany Lazo y Yesenia Elizabeth Lazo). Disfrutaba el cultivo de las tierras y cuidar a los animales. Cuando la familia la visitaba en El Salvador, ella aprovechaba para enseñarles los caminos de la tierra. En sus últimos años, su familia le devolvió el favor y comenzó a cuidar de ella. Antes de su muerte, fallecieron sus hijos Antonio Lazo, Isidoro Lazo, Luis Lazo, Oscar Lazo y Pedro Lazo así como sus nietos Ana Maria (Marina) Lazo y Juan Carlos Lazo. Le sobreviven sus hijos: Candelario Argueta(Ana Argueta), Evangelina Campos(Jose Campos), Isabel Lazo Jiron(Juan Iraheta), Rene Lazo(Victoria Lazo) y Rosa Lazo así como sus nietos: Alejandra Gomez Lazo, Arcides (Fito) Lazo (Blanca Argueta) , Daysi Tavera(Christian Tavera), Everth Argueta, Flora Marleni Lazo, Jose Merlos Lazo, Karen Lazo Madrid(Herson Madrid), Luis Garballos , María Campos-Kesten(Barry Kesten), Marlon Iván Argueta, Mayra Rossibel Argueta Cruz(Alfredo Cruz), Neiyda Lazo Gutiérrez (Hovar Gutierrez), Nuvis Lopez(Abel Lopez), Rene Lazo, William Maurisio Lazo (Lourdes Carballo) y Yoselina Lazo. También deja un legado de bisnietos: Abel Lopez, Adriana Vides Carballo, Adriel Campos, Andrea Martinez Lazo, Ashley Lazo, Brandon Lazo Diaz, Carson Kesten, Christian Tavera Jr., Christopher Tavera, Clarisa Lazo, Dodany Lazo, Emily Gutierrez Lazo, Erika G Vides Carballo, Everth Argueta, Fabricio Lazo Diaz, Isaiah Lazo, Josue Lazo, Lily Cruz, Mckenzi Kesten, Rebeca Cruz, Samantha Tavera, Samuel Lazo, Stephanie Lazo , Vanessa Lazo y Victoria López. Tataranietos: Bryson Lazo, Camila Umana Lazo, Julian Umana Lazo, Nayomi Lazo y Sevanna Lazo. Born to Ruperto Lazo and Tinidad Flores on May 8, 1927 in San Miguel, El Salvador, Corina lived the majority of her life in San Miguel and most recently in Irving, Texas. As a young girl, she enjoyed helping her parents care for her brothers and sisters. Corina found love with Luis Jiron (Father of Isabel Lazo Jiron). While raising Isabel, she continued helping care for her siblings. Later in life, she married Luis Garballo (Father of Antonio Lazo, Candelario Argueta(Ana Argueta), Evangelina Campos(Jose Campos), Isidoro Lazo, Luis Lazo, Oscar Lazo, Pedro Lazo, Rene Lazo(Victoria Lazo) and Rosa Lazo). When Luis Garballo passed early in life, Corina continued farming while raising her children in a loving home. Throughout her life, she was always a giver...in addition to her immediate family; she was always there to help those in need. Whether it was friends, neighbors or people she just met, her loving ways always shined through. Corina even adopted Trancito Gaytan, then Trancito’s daughter Ana María (Marina) Lazo at birth. After Marina’s passing, Corina cared and raised Marina’s children as her own (Ana Marina Lazo, German Orlando Lazo, Vanessa Stefany Lazo and Yesenia Elizabeth Lazo). She enjoyed growing crops and caring for the animals. In her later years, her family returned the favor and began taking care of her. When family visited her in El Salvador, she took full advantage to teach them the ways of the land. Corina is preceded in death by her children Antonio Lazo, Isidoro Lazo, Luis Lazo, Oscar Lazo and Pedro Lazo as well as grandchildren Ana Maria (Marina) Lazo and Juan Carlos Lazo. She is survived by her children: Candelario Argueta(Ana Argueta), Evangelina Campos(Jose Campos), Isabel Lazo Jiron (Juan Iraheta), Rene Lazo(Victoria Lazo) and Rosa Lazo as well as grandchildren: Alejandra Gomez Lazo, Arcides (Fito) Lazo (Blanca Argueta) , Daysi Tavera(Christian Tavera), Everth Argueta, Flora Marleni Lazo, Jose Merlos Lazo, Karen Lazo Madrid(Herson Madrid), Luis Garballo, Maria Campos-Kesten(Barry Kesten), Marlon Ivan Argueta, Mayra Rossibel Argueta Cruz(Alfredo Cruz), Neyda Lazo Gutierrez (Hovar Gutierrez), Nuvis Lopez(Abel Lopez), Rene Lazo, Wilman Mauricio Lazo (Lourdes Carballo) and Yoselin Lazo. She also leaves a legacy of great-grandchildren: Abel Jeremias Lopez, Adriana Vides Carballo, Adriel Campos, Andrea Martinez Lazo, Ashley Lazo, Brandon Lazo Diaz, Carson Kesten, Christian Tavera Jr., Christopher Tavera, Clarisa Lazo, Dodany Lazo, Emily Gutierrez Lazo, Erika G Vides Carballo, Everth Argueta, Fabricio Lazo Diaz, Isaiah Lazo, Josue Lazo, Lily Cruz, Luis Garballos, Mckenzi Kesten, Rebeca Cruz, Samantha Tavera, Samuel Lazo, Stephanie Lazo, Vanessa Lazo, and Victoria Lopez as well great- great grandchildren: Bryson Lazo, Camila Umana Lazo, Julian Umana Lazo, Nayomi Lazo and Savanna Lazo.
