Obituary of Joaquin Portillo

Joaquin Portillo, 46 of Dallas, Texas, passed away on February 4, 2022 in Dallas. Visitation will be held at Casa Guanajuato Dallas-Mexico on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 6:00 pm until Friday, February 11 at 9:30 am. Funeral service will be held at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church on February 11, 2022 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Laurel Oaks Cemetery. Merit Memorial Funeral & Cremation Care will be handling the funeral arrangements. Joaquin was born in Dallas, Texas to Rosa Portillo and Joaquin Ortiz on January 4, 1976. He went to high school at Sunset High School and graduated in 1995. He enjoyed watching football and basketball. Joaquin is survived by his mother Rosa Monreal of Dallas, his sisters Lorenza Olivares and Esmeralda Monreal and his brother Oscar Portillo, his nephews Abel Olivares, Matthew and Christian Portillo, Angel and Isaac Vasquez, Brandon Perez, his nieces, Victoria Villegas, Emily Portillo all of Dallas and Elianna Portillo of Minnesota. He is predeceased in death by his father Joaquin Ortiz and his brother Elias Portillo. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Casa Guanajuato-Mexico.
