Obituary of Barbara Williams
Barbara Elaine Williams passed on April 19, 2019 in Allen, Texas.
Born in 1937 to John and Barbara Yacko, she grew up with her older sister Shirley (Yacko) Cramer on their parents' farm in Chesterton, Indiana. At the age of 23, she married William Lee Williams, on December 10th, 1960, after first meeting and falling in love when they were 14 years old.
Over the course of 58 years with her husband, Elaine experienced life as an Army wife, becoming the mother of two daughters, and grandmother of two granddaughters. She saw her family through multiple corporate relocations, lead Girl Scout troops through European museums and backpacking through the Colorado Rockies, and served countless hours of service to her church communities as well as non-profit organizations such at the Junior Women's Club, NAMI, and PACN.
Her indomitable spirit, unapologetic vitality, and unfailing devotion to her family will be missed beyond measure.
Elaine is predeceased by her parents and is survived by her sister Shirley, husband Bill, daughters Lisette and Heather, granddaughters Kathryn and Rebecca, and son-in-law Kyle.
