Mrs. Estella Mae Weibring, 96, passed away peacefully at 4:05 p.m., Thursday (September 16, 2021) at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, Texas. Born March 15, 1925, in Quincy, IL, Mrs. Weibring was the daughter of Elmer and Jennie Smith Applegate. She married Donald Albert Weibring on November 30, 1945 in Quincy. Mrs. Weibring was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who had a big heart and a passion for helping people. She spent 30 years working in the front office of HL&S medical clinic in Quincy. She spent the majority of her life in Quincy, but moved to Texas to spend the last 8 years with her son and family. She enjoyed playing and watching golf, cheering on Dallas sports teams on TV and the many outings and activities, including happy hour, with her friends at Sunrise Senior Living community in Plano, Texas. Mrs. Weibring is survived by her son, D.A. Weibring and his wife, Kristen of Frisco, Texas; three grandchildren, Matthew Weibring and his wife, Stephanie, of Dallas, Texas; Kathryn Finazzo and her husband, Corey, and Allison Hopkins and her husband, Brett, both of Frisco, Texas; seven great-grandchildren, Marlie, Ben and Charlie Weibring, Ryder and Phoebe Finazzo, and Henry and Lucy Hopkins. Mrs. Weibring was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Don and a sister, Mary Ruth Rowsey. Mrs. Weibring had a wonderful life and will be missed by many. A private family memorial service was held in Dallas, Texas on September 23, 2021. Mrs. Weibring was laid to rest next to her husband at Calvary Cemetery during a private family burial in Quincy on October 6, 2021. Memorials may be made to Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, St. Francis Solanus School or Quincy Notre Dame high school in Quincy.
