On Saturday August 21, 2021 Tom Leahy passed away at Faith Presbyterian Hospice with his loving wife of 25 years at his side. Tom fought a long hard three-year battle with cancer. Tom was born in Dallas, TX, graduated from W. T. White High School and attended Texas Tech University. As a dedicated American and patriot Tom joined the US Air Force after college and was stationed in Upper Hayford, England and Austin, TX. Upon completion of his military assignment Tom began a successful 30-year career in logistics and supply chain management where he was fortunate enough to meet his life partner Phyllis. Tom loved competition excelling in both team and individual sports. He was an avid golfer and played regularly with his brothers and friends. He ardently followed his favorite teams Dallas Cowboys, Notre Dame, Texas Rangers, Mavericks and Stars. Tom was well read. He enjoyed discussing politics, current events and sports with his family and friends. First and foremost Tom considered himself an American, an Irishman, and a true Texan. He was a loving husband, a great brother, uncle, friend, and godfather. He will be deeply missed and forever hold a special place in the hearts of the many he touched. The family request that memorials be made in Tom’s name to Faith Presbyterian Hospice. (LINK IN THE DROP-DOWN MENU) A memorial service for close friends and family will be held.
