It is with so many memories and good times that I will go back and try to remember a few. Janis and I were Cheerleaders at good ole Sloan High School. We started school together in the fall of 1946 at the same big brick school house that we graduated from in 1959. We both loved our school colors, Orange and Black with the Sloan Raiders as our Mascot. Those were the innocent times and years for us kids going to school in the 40's and 50's. I wouldn't trade those years for any other location or Ivy League place I'm so sad to be writing this for you Jan. I had you on my list of calls for this week when I heard from Nancy that you had entered into your eternal rest. Keep watching for my arrival. Once friends always friends. I hope you and your cousin Toni are living it up in Heaven. You were both just the best friends ever. So keep the laughter going and one of these days I hope I will make it to the pearly gates to join you and Toni for some old time memories.

Jan will be greatly missed by many friends and all her family. To know Jan was to love her! I have too many memories to mention all of them but just to mention a few; my husband Al and I had many wonderful dinners out with Carl and Jan to celebrate special occasions as well as just getting together. We also enjoyed the many get-to-get hers at their home. They were both wonderful hosts and Jan loved to entertain and decorate. Another outing we enjoyed was going to Hams Orchard in Tyler, TX to get fresh peaches and tasty Barbecue. We will miss her every day and will miss our telephone conversations. We will never forget her and she will be in our hearts forever. I know she will be missed by all her family; I know how much she loved them all.
Blessings and love to all,
Al and Norma Martin
