Minerva Maria Alamina Gutierrez, better known as "Mama" 79 years old of Celina, Texas passed away on May 19th, 2021 at 4:00pm in Baylor Heart Center, Plano, Texas. Her celebration of life will be held at Merit Memorial in Farmers Branch, Texas on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021 from 12:00pm-4:00pm, with the service being officiated by David Legg. Merit Memorial will be handling the funeral arrangements. Minerva M. Gutierrez was born in Chetumal, Mexico to parents Modesta and Luis Alamina on March 10th, 1942. She went to Paloti High School in Belize City. She was a Home maker and worked several different jobs to help support her family (quite the entrepreneur). She enjoyed cooking, baking, games, dancing, and spending time with her family. Minerva was the Matriarch of her family and she was loved dearly by all. Mama was an Elvis loving fan, cooking extraordinaire, dancing queen, family oriented, strong, loving, caring, and patriotic woman, with her only weakness being her tickle spot. She was loved by all and treated everyone as if they were her own. Mama was an amazing woman and her strength was a great example for her family. Her determination and drive over the past few months is a testament of her will to live and she will be dearly missed. Minerva is survived by her six children and their spouses, Margarita and Richard, Alfonso and Julie, Minerva and Adam, Conchita and John, Adolfo, and Antonio and Vesna. Her siblings, Luis Alamina, Renan Alamina, Lombardo Alamina, David Alamina, Noel Alamina, and Louis Alamina. Her grandchildren, Kirk, Luke, Garrett, Nikki, Simone, Kelsie, Brionna, Kayla, Luis, Brittany, Jenna, Sydney, Miguel, Daniella, Rebecca, and Joey, and their loved ones Heather, Rosanna, Rachel, Nicole, Josh, Brent, Kody, and Julie. Her great-grandchildren, Drew, Kamarii, Nathaniel, Alexander, and Aria. Also many, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family wishes to extend their gratitude for all the kind words and condolences they received. All your love and prayers are heartfelt and is helping those closest to Mama feel loved and supported.
