Obituary of Arnoldo Cantu

Please share a memory of Arnoldo to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Tuesday morning, May 4, 2021 with his loving wife by his side Arnoldo (Arnold) Medina Cantu was called home to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Arnold was born on June 22, 1936 in Brownsville, TX to Alberto Cantu and Gumecinda Medina. Alberto would relocate his wife and their children to Corpus Christi TX to work the cotton fields. Working side by side with his family, it was at a young age that Arnold learned his hard work ethic. As a young man, Arnold worked hard to support his family as a construction worker for over 40 years. In 1983 he met his wife of over 38 years, Herminia De Luna, where they made their home in Lewisville, TX. Shortly after retiring from construction, he would make his 2nd home at First Baptist Church Lewisville. It was there where he served, worshiped, worked for another 20 + years, and retired for the second time in his life. Arnold was an amazing man and lived a great life. He was a faithful Christian, a devoted husband, a loving father, The BEST grandfather, and a friend to anyone who met him. Arnold loved being with his wife as they would walk around the Vista Ridge Mall, spend evenings at Lewisville Lake, and went to church faithfully. He loved hosting holiday gatherings at their home, and never missed a birth or birthday party. Arnold loved his family with all his heart, and never missed a chance to tell us just how much! He gained his wings, our Guardian Angel he is. We will miss him dearly and never forget him. Arnold is preceded in death by his father Alberto, mother Guceminda, son Jonny, numerous brothers and sisters, and great-grandson Angelo. He is survived by his wife Minnie Cantu, Children: Jessie, Joe, Maria, Veronica, Maria F., Raymond, Olga, and Reynolds. 15 Grandchildren, and 19 Great Grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends along the way.
