Obituary of Thlisha Adams

Thlisha O’Shebree Adams, 45, died unexpectedly April 11, 2021, at Presbyterian Hospital, Plano, Texas. She was born October 2, 1975, in Garland, Texas, to George J. Washington (deceased) and Bertha M. Washington.
Thlisha graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School, Garland, Texas, class of 1993. Following graduation, she attended Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, class of 1997, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences. She later attained a Master’s in Rural Public Health from Texas A&M University, Associate of Applied Science in Nursing at Colling County Community College, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University, Denton, Texas.
Thlisha had a rewarding career serving in the United States Public Health Service as a Commissioned Officer at CMS in Dallas, Texas, and more recently was Chief Nursing Officer at UBH, Denton, Texas and as Director at Landmark Health in Irving, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her father. She leaves behind her mother, Bertha M. Washington, Wichita Falls, Texas, two daughters, Alexis K. Adams, and Camille R. Adams, Frisco, Texas, one sister Caresha T. Washington, Little Elm, Texas, one grandmother, Ethel M. Washington, Hutto, Texas, and a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Thlisha will be remembered for her extremely kind heart and her mission to serve her patients, family, and friends. She treasured being the mother of Alexis and Camille. She will be greatly missed by many, especially by her family.
A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 24, at McDermott Church of Christ, 3600 McDermott Road, Plano, Texas. Interment at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to everyone for your calls, texts, cards, flowers, visits, and many acts of kindness during this time of our loss. May God continue to bless each of you.
