On Saturday, April 10, 2021, Lorae Hottle, loving mother, daughter and friend passed away at the age of 45 in Frisco, TX.
Lorae was born on October 30, 1975 in Marshalltown, IA to Barbara (Lamar) Owen and Ronald Owen. She worked as a Legal Assistant for Bryan Burg at Siebman, Burg, Phillips & Smith for 21 years. She was married and raised one daughter, Elizabeth (McDowell) Hottle.
Lorae was a lover of hockey, soccer, and music. During her life, Lorae was an avid supporter of FC Dallas, the Allen Americans, and the Dallas Stars. She was always known for her quick wit, humor, and strength. She was a dedicated and supportive role-model to her daughter.
Lorae is survived by her mother, daughter, son-in-law, and boyfriend: Barbara Lamar, Elizabeth and Garret McDowell, and Ken Berggren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 25th, 2021 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at Toyota Stadium’s “Heineken Red Star Club” in Frisco. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the UT-Southwestern O’Donnell Brain Institute in memory of Lorae Hottle.
