Pat attended Davis High School in Salt Lake City, Utah where she won first place in the state poetry reading contest and first place in the state oration contest. She briefly attended the University of Utah before marrying Don Kamerath. They were married 24 years. They lived in Ogden, Utah where they were partners in a custom flooring business and Ogden is where they began to raise their children. The family moved to Dallas, Texas in 1966 when Don took a salesman job with Browning Arms Company.
In 1984 Pat completed courses to become a certified massage therapist and started her own business. She loved helping people and through the Dallas Theater Center gave massages to many famous actors, opera singers and musicians.
Pat was always creative and interested in art and all things beautiful. In her early 60s, she took up watercolor painting and her work was exhibited at major art shows and competitions. She won several awards for artwork. She taught classes and gave demonstrations for various art clubs around North Texas.
Pat loved musical theater. She played recordings of most of the hit Broadway musicals from the 1950s and 60s, and she would often sing along.
Pat was sweet and gentle and generous with her time. She was a good listener as any of her many friends will attest. She loved dogs and wild animals and flowers and beautiful bugs, especially dragon flies. She loved nature and found beauty wherever she looked.
A memorial service for Pat is pending and will be announced at a later date.
