Obituary of William Anderson McAlpine III

William Anderson McAlpine III departed from his Earthly home to be with his Heavenly Father on February 24, 2021. Bill was born on October 4, 1960 in El Paso, Texas to the late Betty McAlpine Wall and William A. McAlpine, Jr. He attended schools in El Paso, Texas and Roswell, New Mexico, graduating from New Mexico Military Institute High School and Jr. College, attended the University of Oklahoma, and Dallas University. Bill worked with his father in ranching and oil before acquiring skills in the internet and computer technology. He was a devout Christian and a member of the Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas. He was an avid fly fisherman and member of the 2021 Dallas Fly Fishers Board as an at-large trustee. Bill was also a collector of cookbooks and recipes that he shared with others. He will be remembered as sweet and compassionate and loved by all. Survivors include his father William McAlpine, Jr., step-mother Sarah Stephens McAlpine; step-sisters Deborah Davis and Teressa Lee and their families; Uncle Floyd Amburgey, Jr. and wife Bonnie; cousins Elizabeth Shaw Lorwance and husband David, Martha Neil Shaw Gamblin and husband Bobby, J. Edward Johnson and wife Mary, Mitchell Johnson and wife Sveilana, Scott Waddell and wife Krystn, George Enloe and wife Phyllis, Joe Bettis and the late Harry and Zack Bettis and their families; together with a large number of loving second and third cousins and special friends Kris and Donna Barnhill, Craig and Juliet Williams, and Kim and Pam Ratliff. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, Texas or Reel Recovery (Cancer) Retreat in Needham, MA, or a charity of your choice.
