Robert was a mentor(father figure), church leader and friend. He helped me get hired at EDS in 1984 with a long prosperous career that spanned across the next 33 years at EDS, HP, HPE and DXC. He and Jayne helped a naive young man from Eastern Kentucky blessed enough to get a college degree flourish in an exciting new world in Dallas. A completely new world for me! Robert and Jayne’s impact on my live will always be remembered with much love and admiration! Love you both after all these years! Mark and Lynn Lyon

Robert was a great friends. We met at our church and instantly clicked. I loved his wealth of knowledge, love for the Bible and thoughtfulness toward others. He enjoy my humor and quick wit.
I once taught a Crown Ministries Class that Robert and Jayne attended concerning gaining property wealth and money management of Biblical Principals. Robert and Jayne were always prepared and contributed immensely to our group discussions.
Robert once set up a breakfast seminar in Savannah and called it "Heart Attacks for Dummies." Robert arranged for Heart Surgeons, Thoracic Surgeons, Cardiologists, and anyone he knew who had experienced any kind of heart issue to attend. During the breakfast seminar, the bottom line to the event was explained to always carry an aspirin in your pocket, keep one next to your bed, and in your car. Because if you had a heart attack, your medicine cabinet may be to far away to obtain an aspirin. Although that was many years ago, I still carry an aspirin in my pocket.
Robert was a true believer, generous in his thoughts, words and deeds. And he was a great friend and mentor to me.
Dear Heavenly Father, Please accept Robert into your loving arms in Heaven as we morn his loss here on Earth. Allow his memory to live on in our hearts in Jesus name we pray. Amen

I first met Robert in 1973 at a team building training class in Columbia, SC. Robert and Stuart Reeves were the instructors. The class was broken into teams of three and instructed to build a plan with time-frames to construct an erector-set bridge. Naturally as EDS'ers we can build that bridge in a few minutes. Yep no-one finished the bridge, we all had a huge laugh. That was Robert always teaching and helping others. Robert and i met many times as account managers, at GM, and after his retirement.
Robert was a very good friend and i'll miss him.
