I'm a random person from BP's past. We worked together as telemarketers in our student days 30 years ago in Austin. I happened out of the blue just now to Google his name as I was reminiscing. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing.
Bill was one solid, smart, witty character--boy, we had some good laughs... I want especially to communicate my very fond memories of him as an especially astute young guy to his family.

My father and my best friend. My hero and mentor. The reason I am who I am.
I honestly wouldn't be the same person if it weren't for the parts of my dad that I have within me. My love of books and obsession with movies, the snarky comebacks, and passion for storytelling- All of it, good and bad, came from him.
He was there for me my whole life, it was only fair that I could be there for him during the toughest part of his life. Online Schooliing was nothing compared to walking into the bedroom and seeing him laid out- But all I could see in those times were the moments of laughter and happiness, the impressions he would do of the characters on screen and stupid jokes he would pull out of thin air.
Bill Paulk was an absolute jackass. He was stubborn and arrogant and always had to have the last word with everything. And I loved him more than I loved anything else, and I'll miss him forever

Over the decades I’ve come to realise that my sense of humour, sarcasm, British aloofness (twinned with Scottish....ness) isn’t for everyone. Bill however took all I threw at him, especially his fight with cancer, where our conversations definitely “crossed the line” of.... everything and to have him just giggling away as we offended anyone within earshot was my tonic for him!
the top picture sums it up perfectly laughter, I’ll let everyone guess what had just happened or about to...
While we sometimes went deep in conversation, in the end we didn’t give a f_ried egg- because the bottom two pictures are what we all cherished.
Bill’s love of British telly, micro-brewed beer, crazy tech.... (I could go on) was just the snazzy personality accessories that we loved about him, but like two schoolboys, we would talk for hours and what shone through was simply this :
he was madly in love with his soul mate, partner in crime, wife, mother of his children and best friend - Jenny.
crazy in love with his two amazing girls - as a caring, crazy, kooky doting dad - Stacey & Olive
RIP Bill ❤️
Forever in our hearts...
❤️

A friend sent me this picture last week and I can’t stop looking at it. I swear I can hear his laugh when I do. I have 37 years of memories that I will carry with me all my days and I know how blessed I am for that. Thank you, Bill. And thank you, Jenny, Olivia, and Sophie, for sharing him with us. I cannot express how much he loved the three of you and how proud he was to be your husband and dad.

Bill and I had so much fun together. It was hard not to with him! He was a seasoned conversationalist and had such a wide variety of interests. "I will never forget the time that..." There are so many things that I could end this sentence with. But here's a couple: One summer when I was about 15, Bill and his family were vacationing at Gulf Shores, AL. My folks had coincidentally planned a trip to Disney World at the same time. I didn't tell Bill, but we decided to stop in Gulf Shores for a night on the way to FL. We figured out where his family was staying, so when we got there I jumped in the pool right behind him. Of course it probably scared the crap out of him at first but when I came up out of the water, he was so surprised! We had a great time hanging out that night, far from home.
Another time (way back in Jr. high school), Bill, Bob McEachern, and I were at a hotel for a tennis tournament (I think) with our parents, and we were staying in a "Holi-dome" which was an enclosed Holiday Inn with a roofed interior atrium (like a poor man's version of Embassy Suites). It was really cool because it had putt-putt, indoor pool, awesome landscaping, etc. so we played hide and go seek through the whole place, hiding down hallways, behind plants, etc. What a blast!
So many memories - Sneaking out to roam the streets at night and wrap houses (and getting busted), cooking and playing music together, partying in college, going camping, talking for hours, and just simply having a great friendship!
I'll miss you buddy! Love, Brandon

I have known Bill since he was a youngster at Midway ISD.
He was a lovely man and so very kind and joyful !
I remember The night of my late husband’s funeral he came to our home with Edward and helped us clean up after everyone had gone home.
Such a good example of thoughtfulness.
My heart breaks for his family but I know he will l always be near them and guiding his girls and Jenny along their journey of life.

He had a smile on his face the whole time. The same cheeky, charming, contagious smile that i’ve looked at my whole life. It was a hard and grueling 21 months, but he had hope throughout the journey. He still laughed and smiled at movies, tv shows, jokes, and conversations despite the pain he was in. What a guy. ❤️❤️

I had the opportunity to share a part of Bill’s life. He definitely was an amazing young man. He chose an excellent lady to marry to had the opportunity to to be there sharing their happiness. He was every smart but again knew how to have fun. I’ll never forget the time I had with him and his family. He was absolutely one of a kind. Love you bill and family.

I worked with Bill for 2 years and I'll never forget the story he told about the first time he saw Indiana Jones in the theatre as a kid. He described himself "bounding" out of the movie theatre with excitement! Such an engaging storyteller and keenly intelligent. He was curious, cunning, charming and spoke endlessly and with pride and humor about Jenny and his girls. Congratulations on a truly wonderful life!
