Obituary of Bruce Daniel Webster
Sergeant Bruce Daniel Webster, Veteran of the United States Army, lived with his wife and son in Denton, Tx. He passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2019, at the age of 67, and graduated to his heavenly home.
He was born on September 2, 1951, in Mt. Clemens, MI, to Wesley and Virgie Webster. He joined the Armed Forces and was assigned to Fort Bragg, NC, where he served in Vietnam. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Parachute Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Combat Medal, Gallantry Cross with Palm, Bronze Star, Sharp Shooter M-16 and Good Conduct Medal.
He is preceded in death by his wife Debra Webster, his parents, and brothers. Bruce is survived by his wife, Jane Spelgatti Webster; his daughters, Melanie, her husband Richard Bowen, their 6 children and 1 granddaughter; Trisha, her husband Steven Connor and their 7 children; his son, Clayton; Step-daughters, Lonna Spelgatti, her finance Dennis Clark, her 5 children and 4 grandchildren; Cheryl Ellisor, her finance Jay Eagle and her daughter, Step-son Daniel, his wife Bridgett Spelgatti and their 3 children; a sister Liz Cross, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Castle Park Senior High and studied electronics in college. He enjoyed bowling, softball, golf and upon retirement he pursued his love of painting. Bruce loved to play cards with his family and go to professional basketball games. He was a spiritual man involved in church, loved to sing, funny guy, always making you laugh! He was the most loving Godly dad, step-dad, grandpa, great grandpa, husband , brother , son, uncle, and father-n-law anyone could ever ask for. He loved his blended family. He was always willing to help and fix things. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A funeral service is being held at DFW National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 5th at 10:15. Following the service, all family and friends are invited to a reception in his honor at First Baptist Church Corinth.
Pastor Bruce Larson will officiate.
In Lieu of flowers, monetary donations and condolences may be given to Bruce’s widow to cover funeral costs and medical expenses.
