Douglas Wilson, age 72, was born on March 15, 1946 in North Carolina to parent, Phyllis Heggie. He was one of the star football players on his high school football team and eventually, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served 6 years overseas. He has two daughters name Daphne Wilson and Krystle Wilson and 2 grandchildren name Doryce Wilson and Cornel Saunders. Furthermore, he became a San Antonio Police officer where he eventually met his wife, Lena Cole. He then moved to Dallas Texas and accepted a position as a Dallas Police officer at Dart Police Station, where he worked for more than 20 years overall as a police officer.

He was a great family man and a loving father who loved his family and loved spending time with us, always encouraging us to be the best in life. He married Lena Cole in San Antonio Texas in 1980 who has a son name Christopher Dillard, and the couple had 1 child together, name Krystle Wilson.

Douglas Wilson was a very social, active man who was deeply involved and rooted in Church for the majority of his life and he would always praise God in all that he did and touched so many people with his love for God. He enjoyed reading books, writing letters of encouragement, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends as well as his daughter. His family and friends will always remember him as a caring, loving and fun person who loved to encourage everyone around him with his words of wisdom and advice.

He had a sense of humor about him that only could make a person smile around him all the time. He loved to joke around and keep things fun and always had a positive attitude about him that attracted people to him.

He will never be forgotten and will be forever missed by all those who know and loved him. May he rest in peace.
