Jumper and I shared many memories together. One of the best I thought was when Mike's steep dad decided that he was going to teach Jumper and I how to work in the old field. We tried for a few years to hide the fact that we were smoking until one day for some reason Jim wanted a smoke from us. We just looked at each with that "what are you talking about" look on our faces. He said that he know for over a year that we were smoking and even told us where we were hiding them in my old chevy. Most of the other memories will have to kept a secret between us from now on. I loved Jumper like a brother for the most of my life. He will truly be missed. Rest in peace at the right hand of our Lord for you truly deserve to rest in peace warrior.

David Pena gave Mike that nickname. We were playing touch football in PE and David was the quarterback. Mike and I were wide receivers. David threw Mike a pass which was uncatchable and he missed it. David then said in jest, “ you’re worse than Bill Jumper”. Bill Jumper was an underclassman who hadn’t really completed puberty yet and was extremely awkward. It made Mike mad so naturally we started teasing him about it. Mike has kept me laughing ever since. Rest in peace my wonderful, funny, lovable friend.

I remember many great times we spent together during our lifetime and one stands out today and brings a smile to my face. You invited a group of us over to your parent's house during the Fall of our junior year in high school and during this occasion a touch football game kickoff. That would not have been an unusual thing for a group of high school boys, but what happened next was because we quickly moved the living room furniture outside at your urging and had the game in your parents living room. Thankfully there was any damaged to home and that was a miracle.
As we all search our memories to figure out who gave you the nickname "Jumper" I believe this was one of the first times I heard someone call you by the nickname " Jumper". and it stuck.
