A very belated note of condolence to the family - The date of her service was the same as my husband Ty
s brain surgery at m.d. anderson and so much has happened since then - but know I was saddened to learn of this - I knew Betty at north texas and also thru our Berkner connection with our kids - then we were together again in Northwood Woman's Club - playing mah jongg, etc. My mother was from Denison and several years ago looking for a grave of an aunt, i discovered it was next to the Blassingame family - What a wonderful coincidence. Special love and prayers to all the family from all the Burtons.

We are so sorry to hear of Betty's passing. She was such a lovely, nice lady. Lynn remembers the good times going to the symphony guild meetings with Betty. We are praying God will give the surviving family strength, comfort and peace at this difficult time.
In deepest symphany,
Lynn and Charles Jackson

One of our greatest blessings in life, next to our family, is the gift of enduring and endearing friendships made. I felt a special connection with Betty the first time we met. The mutual attraction has remained and deepened over the last 30 plus years from that moment in time. I feel her vibrant presence even now. We shared a lot of fun, laughter, tears of joy and, at times, a few heartbreaks to keep us aware of the many blessings of this life. I would be sorely remiss if I did not mention the many talents she possessed and shared with others, creating a beautiful home for family, the gorgeous wrappings of gifts, and her fashion statements in apparel. She was steeped in strong faith and supported by her loving husband to the end. Her graceful acceptance of her failing health and consistent determination to remain positive is an inspiration to us all. May God grant Betty peace and raise her up to life eternal. Prayerfully, we will meet again. Prayers continue for John, Nancy, Alli and their families whom Betty loved devotedl.

I can't remember when Betty was not in my life - from our days as toddlers in Denison to our adult years. Betty was always my friend and sister - always there for me. She was beautiful, vivacious, fun and funny. These last months, she met each challenge with strength, her trademark sense of humor, and grace - grounded in her deep faith. We miss her, but are comforted that we will be together again. Keeping all of you who loved her in my prayers, especially John, Nancy, Alli and family.
In Christ,
Linda White Piper

What a beautiful obituary! Betty would definitely light up a room with her smile and beauty. She was a true lady with integrity and a wonderful sense of humor. I'm attaching a photo of Betty proudly wearing a Kentucky Derby hat which she won at a NWC meeting and wore at a May 4, 2019 Kentucky Derby party! She was a winner in so many aspects of her life and received love and admiration from all who knew her. I loved Betty and feel inspired by her Faith, her amazing attitude and perseverance. Rest in peace, my dear friend. With deepest sympathy to John, Nancy and Alli and Betty's entire family, Jeanne Allen Dunlap
