Obituary of Carol Sue Brown

Carol Sue Brown

December 30, 1933 to February 1, 2019

Carol Sue Brown passed away peacefully in the quiet early morning of February 1, 2019, in Lewisville, Texas after a brief battle with pneumonia.

Carol was born on December 30, 1933 in Topeka, Kansas and was named Carol as her birthday fell soon after Christmas. She attended Liberty Memorial High School where she was a drum majorette, a member of the yearbook staff and pep club. She attended the University of Kansas for a year and was a life-long Jayhawk fan. Carol was heavily involved in her children’s activities, including DeMolay with Gary, hockey and music with David, and ice skating with Kathy. She had a long career working for the government, first with the Internal Revenue Service and later with the Federal Aviation Administration.

She is survived by her three children Gary Brown, David Brown and Kathy Turquet; her two grandchildren Anika Jaan and Jacques Turquet; her sister-in-law Mary Anne Judson; as well as a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, F. L. Judson (fondly known as Jud), her mother, Bernice Judson, and her brother, Jack Judson.

Family and friends are invited to share in a short graveside ceremony to be held in the Garden of Honor at Rolling Oaks Memorial Center in Coppell, TX on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon.
