Dan, Matt, Corley and Rush,
I send to you my deepest condolences on the loss of Sally. I was one of Sally's Watertown colleagues, having worked with her at Heminway and Swift. As a young teacher, Sally was always the type of woman I wanted to be like "when I grew up" as a professional. She was kind, caring, helpful and smart as a whip. She also had a great sense of humor. Sally had a beautiful smile and was a consummate professional. I recall with admiration and respect the day she was surprised with a recognition award from the district at our convocation day. Anyone else would've headed to the stage, said, "thank you," and walked off stage. Not Sally. Sally shared a favorite quote of hers. She accepted the award with pride and gave a speech that sounded like she had weeks to prepare. That was Sally.
I was so saddened to learn of her loss. I know the last few years she faced struggles. I'm sure Sally would never let anyone know it, for she was also a private person who put others first. Her life as a teacher serves as evidence of this.
Sally spoke so highly of her family. She was a woman of faith who surrounded herself with love. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers during this difficult time.
Rest In Peace, Sally.
