Obituary of Jo Ann Johnston

Jo Ann Johnston, 40, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019. She was preceded in death by her mother Rose Marie Johnston, maternal grandfather Cleve DeRoin Jr, Aunt Doris DeRoin, and her paternal grandfather Charles Roy Johnston Sr. 

 

She is survived by her son, Shawn Brason Lee and daughter Morgan Deshae McKim; love of her life Brian Adams of Aubrey, Texas and bonus daughters Baleigh Christine Simon of Holden, Lousiana and Kylie Rayne Adams; her father, Charles Roy Johnston Jr of Davis, Oklahoma; two brothers Ricky Don Johnston and Jeremy James Johnston of Davis, Oklahoma; paternal grandmother Donna Fae Johnston and maternal grandmother, Joann McCann. 

Jo is also survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins. 

 

Jo grew up very close to her many cousins. She loved her family and family gatherings. She loved traveling and enjoyed many adventures throughout her life. She enjoyed camping and many other outdoor activities. Jo also loved to dance. 

 

Jo graduated from Southern Oklahoma Technology Center in 2006, and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She had a strong passion for nursing, and touched many lives during her career. She was a hard worker, and made many close friends in the field. 

 

Jo enjoyed her kids Brason & Morgan most. Her children were her passion. She loved spending time with, talking about, and participating in adventures and activities with her children. She was so very proud of them.  

 

The family would like to express our appreciation for all of those involved in Jo’s care and comfort throughout.
