Obituary of Hong Ki Yu

Hong Ki Yu, age 85, passed away on January 13, 2022. He was born in Seoul, South Korea, where he met his wife, Se Sook. He immigrated to the United States in 1981, seeking better educational opportunities for his six daughters. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Prior to his retirement, he was an accomplished telecommunications engineer worldwide who worked for the International Development Company of New Zealand in Korea, the Westinghouse Corporation in Africa, and MCI Communications Corporation in the United States. He loved God as his Creator and Savior, praying daily that God would be present in his family members’ lives. He had lifelong passions for classical music, astronomy, and gardening. He is survived and dearly missed by his wife, six daughters, twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Family and friends are invited to honor his memory during his funeral service held at Binnerri Church in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 2 PM.
